Hallo, ich habe ein eigenartiges Problem: USB-Stick wird vom System erkannt, aber nicht konfiguriert. ich kann es nicht mounten, da keine /dev/sxx vorhanden sind. Betriebssystem: Debian Sarge 3.1

welche meldungen werden ausgegeben ? was sagt dmesg dazu ? wie schaut die fstab aus ?
 
dmesg habe ich oben noch reingeschrieben. Nachdem ich gestern versucht habe mit mknod /dev/sda b 8 1 ein device zu erstellen ist seit heute auch ein sda in dmesg. Wenn ich mount /dev/sda /media/stick ausführe bleibt die console hängen. fstab:

ich würde mal darauf tippen das dein stick einen schaden hat.

kommst du noch an einen anderen rechner dran?

wenn ja, probier es mal da aus.

wenn da auch die konsole abschmiert kannst du davon ausgehen dass dein stick kaputt ist.
 
Der Stick funktineiert auf ubuntu tadellos, hängt nur bei einigen Sarge Installationen. Meistens ist dann in /dev kein eintrag mit sda, sda1 ...

Der Eintrag (Link) /dev/sdXY wird nur nicht angelegt /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0 ist das "reelle" Device.

Ich habs jetzt mit einem 2.6.16 Kernel hinbekommen.
 
Legt er denn nun das Device an?
