Eterm findet lib nicht :(

Ich wuerde gerne Eterm nutzen....
Habe mir die benoetigten tarballs geladen und entpackt habe auch die libast-0.5 installiert nur wenn ich ./configure mache dan findet er die lib nicht
wuerde mich ueber hilfe freuen

ich schreibe mal eben die meldung die der mir bei der installation von libast-0.5 ausgibt:
ranlib /usr/local/lib/libast.a
chmod 644 /usr/local/lib/libast.a
PATH="$PATH:/sbin" ldconfig -n /usr/local/lib

/usr/local/lib

If you ever happen to want to link against installed libraries
in a given directory, LIBDIR, you must either use libtool, and
specify the full pathname of the library, or use the `-LLIBDIR'
flag during linking and do at least one of the following:
- add LIBDIR to the `LD_LIBRARY_PATH' environment variable
during execution
- add LIBDIR to the `LD_RUN_PATH' environment variable
during linking
- use the `-Wl,--rpath -Wl,LIBDIR' linker flag
- have your system administrator add LIBDIR to `/etc/ld.so.conf'

See any operating system documentation about shared libraries for
more information, such as the ld(1) and ld.so( manual pages.

Was hindert dich daran die man ld und man ld.so zu lesen?

Nein! Ich weiss ja nicht mal welches OS du verwendest.

ich benutzt slackware 9.1 in der full install version

Aha, linux da muß ich passen. Es gibt hier ja genung linux user die werden dir sicher helfen können.

Mach mal ldconfig und poste mal deine /etc/ld.so.conf.

ldconfig gibt keine ausgabe ist das richtig?
