Hilfe! Ati 3D Beschleuniger Problem

    Hi, bin Linux Neuling und bekommen einfach nicht den 3D Beschleuniger rein.
    Hab mir den Ati driver installer in Version 8.30.3 gedownloadet und mich duch die manuelle Installation geboxt. Sprich:

    sh ati-driver-installer-8.30.3-x86.run --buildpkg SuSE/SLES101-IA32

    rpm -Uhv fglrx_6_9_0_SUSE101-8.30.3-1.i386.rpm

    und dann in init 3

    sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx

    vorher hab ich noch diese Pakete installiert: make, gcc und kernel-source

    nach dem Neustart kann ich nun die Auflösung einstellen und Linux wird auch richtig dargestellt was vorher nicht der Fall war (Texte waren zu klein dargestellt). Also scheint der Treiber installiert zu sein. Aber ich schaffe es nicht den 3D Beschleuniger zu aktivieren.

    Wenn ich den befehl

    fglrxinfo

    eingebe kommt das:

    OpenGL version string: 1.2 (1.5 Mesa 6.4.1)

    Selbst habe ich es aber meistens schnell geprüft in dem ich einfach ein Spiel aufgerufen habe das den 3D Beschleuniger braucht :)


    Mein Prozessor ist ein Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core
    Grafikkarte X1900XTX

    Hoffe ihr könnt mir helfen....

    Schau mal nach, ob die Module drm, dri und glx in der xorg.conf geladen werden.

    ne, also da stimmt mit der kernel-modul installation definitv was nicht.
    zeige mal die ausgabe von lsmod, die ausgabe von
    modprobe fglrx (als root) und anschließend die ausgabe von dmesg | grep fgl .

    schon auch mal ein fglrx-kernel-build.sh probiert?

    Hey danke hab den Befehl fglrx-kernel-build.sh eingegeben und jetzt geht alles echt super danke. Aber da ich noch absoluter SUSE Nobe bin kannst du mir sagen was mein Problem war b.z.w. was der Befehl fglrx-kernel-build.sh gemacht hat...

    fein das es nun läuft!
    wie der name des skriptes sagt: dieser baut (kompiliert) den treiber für deinen aktuell eingesetzten kernel. so ist dieser in der lage den treiber zu laden ...was vorher wohl nicht der fall war.

    denke auch daran: wenn du einen online-update des kernels machst muss dieses skript erneut aufgerufen werden. nach einem neustart (würde auch anders gehen...aber für anfänger besser geeignet :sly: ) steht dann der passende treiber zur verfügung.

    wie gesagt: mit dmesg | grep fgl kannst du sehen ob der treiber geladen wurde. keine ausgabe = kein treiber.

    ausgabe sollte bei suse so aussehen:

    viel spaß noch mit linux :]

    also ich hab folgendes problem... installiere driver... lass ich die einstellungen im sax2 als standart (d.h. --> Vesa 800x600 60Hz oda so) läuft alles gut.. dann hab ich auch 3d beschleunigung... aber sobald ich die auflösung ändere und lass ich die 3d aktiviert.. nach reboot ist alles schwarz.. kann ich wieda ins failsafe gehen... ABER wenn ich die auflösung ändere aber deaktivier ich 3D dann geht es... ich weis nicht was ich noch machen soll... ich hab von linux.org den tutorial gemacht... und da heist es auf der englischen version das die neuesten treiber (8.36.6 oda so) Xorg 7.2 nicht unterstützt aber dafür v. 8.33.6... ich hab es mit beiden versucht aber keines von beiden haben geholfen... selbst mit dem befehl "fglrx-kernel-build.sh" ändert sich nichts...

    nach dem befehl fglrxinfo bekomm ich auch die ausgabe das ich eine mesa driver habe... obwohl das nicht stimmt... was soll ich tun? ich versteh nichts mehr!!! hat jemand eine idee? gibt es noch einen weg an den 3D zu bekommen?

    PS. was mir aufgefallen ist: eigentlich hab ich eine x850 grafikkarte aber wenn ich die standarteinstellung von sax nehme (also das mit 800x600) und ich fglrxinfo eingebe heist es nicht mehr das ich eine mesa grafikkarte habe sondern eine x800 GTO... O.o

    also hab ich doch keine x850 oda was? *heul*
