Xenemera, XGL, 2 Monitore mit verschiedener Auflösung

Hallo,

ich habe folgende Konfig:
1xTFT links 1280x1024, 1XTFT rechts 1920x1200 als Xinerama laufen.

Was ich gerne machen würde:
das ganze unter Gnome mit XGL laufen lassen, wobei der linke TFT um 90° nach rechts gedreht sein sollte, also 1024x1280 darstellt.

Problem 1: in SuSe 9.3 konnte ich die Drehung des TFT in SAX2 vornehmen. Dieses Feture ist sowohl in SuSe 10.0 und 10.1 ausgegraut. Kann man das manuell in der xorg.conf einstellen?

Problem 2: Unter KDE läuft Xinerama auch mit verschiedenen Auflösungen. Wenn ich Gnome starte, geht das nicht, also Xinerama läuft nur mit der gleichen Auflösung auf beiden Monitoren oder auch mit 1280x1200 (auf dem kleinen). Also irgendwie nicht befriedigend: entweder muß ich den Großen mit 1280x1024 betreiben oder der Kleine zeigt den unteren linken Bildschirmrand nicht an, was besonders bein Logonscreen extrem störend ist.

XGL habe ich mal zwei Tage - ohne irgend ein Problem außer den geschilderten - laufen lassen und finde es einfach nur geil

Lösung 1: mir würde die Rotation des kleine TFT schon ausreichen, auch wenn dabei 80 Pixel verloren gehen würden.

Lösung 2: alles sollte funktionieren

Also sollte jemand eventuell eine Idee habe, würde ich mich wirklich freuen.

Xinerama funktioniert nicht mit 3D Beschleunigung.

Mag ja sein,

vielleicht verwendet SuSe ja was anderes, aber schau Dir mal die Attachments an.

Wahrscheinlich ist das TwinView, das funktioniert gut, auch mit 3D Beschleunigung.

Das Problem ist nur, dass compiz noch keine verschiedene Auflösungen verwalten kann, deine Idee kannst du leider knicken. Ich hab es auch mal versucht, ohne Erfolg natürlich, vielleicht wird es bald mal implementiert.

Nachtrag:

habe noch ein Bischen rumgespielt und mir ist folgender "Workaround" eingefallen: ich habe unter Gnome zwei weitere Panels erstellt, zusammen genau 176 Pixel hoch und auf mein kleines Panel geschoben. Das hat den Vorteil, dass wenn ich ein Window vergrößere, es nur bis zum Unteren Panel geht und nicht in den für mich nicht sichtbaren Bereich. Ich werds die Nächsten Tage ausprobieren, mal sehen, ob es für die Arbeit taugt.
