inetd neu starten

mit welchen Befehl startet man bei SuSE 9.0 den inet.d neu? rcinetd restart und /etc/init.d restart funktionieren nicht. Mein System läuft mit runlevel 3.

/etc/init.d/inetd restart geht nicht, da ich ein No such file or directory Fehlermeldung bekomme. Welche Möglichkeit gibt es noch?

Ist das normal, dass ich /etc/init.d/init.d Verzeichnis habe? Darin ist proftpd.

sicher das du inetd überhaupt installiert hast?

Bin gerade dabei den proftpd zu konfigurieren und da habe ich das Programm über inetd über yast gestartet.

Versuch mal /etc/init.d/xinetd restart, damit sollte es klappen.

Vermutlich liegt das an proftpd.rpm für red hat, da ich diese von Internet downgeloadet habe und installiert habe.
