Suse 9.1 und PPTP-Client (vpn) - Verzweiflung

Hi, ich versuche jetzt seit mehreren Stunden eine VPN Verbindung zum Netzwerk meines Kumpels zu bekommen, aber ich bekomm das nciht zum Laufen.

Folgende Situation:

Kumpel hat Hardware-Router der als VPN-Server dient, das ganze geht über PPTP (ohne Verschlüsselung).

Ich habe ein Netzwerk hinter einem SMC Barricade 7004 VBR Router (IP: 192.168.3.2), dieser Router hat selbst keinen VPN-Server/Client integriert, leitet aber die Pakete durch.

Hinter diesem Router sitzt nun mein Netzwerk, darunter ein Linux Rechner mit Suse 9.1 (IP: 192.168.2.3) . Von diesem Rechner aus möchte ich mich nun einloggen in das Netzwerk meines Kumpels (vorerst reicht eine einfache Client-Lan Verbindung aus). Ich habe mich an die Anleitung von der pptp seite gehalten: http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto-suse-91.phtml . Ich bin jetzt soweit das ich alles korrekt? eingerichtet habe, wenn ich den Tunnel aufbauen will kommt von der Gegenstelle eine Meldung das alles soweit geklappt hat:

Wenn ich jetzt auf den Ping-Test Knopf drücke, dann versucht er ein
ping -c 5 192.168.0.2
Das ganze schlägt aber fehl. Hat jemand eine Ahnung was ich tun muss damit ich nach dem erfolgreichen connect den Server anpingen kann ?
