mounten mp3-Player schlägt fehl

Kann mir jemand erklären, was ich von solch einer Ausgabe von fdsik -l zu halten habe.

Das Teil ist ein Intenso, VidoPlayer 2.0, 4GB
gemontzet wie folgt
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/hda12
mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/hda12

jedesmal, device not found.

Normale USB-Sticks funken, auf dem Player sind per Win schon dateien rübergezogen worden, dort wird nur eine Part. 4Gb als fat32 erkannt und geschrieben.
was ist das für ein Teil
nutze Debian-Sid, Kernel 2.6.30-1-686

wieso partitionierst du den Player nicht einfach neu? Kannst dir ja zur Sicherheit vorher mit dd ein Backup erstellen.

ACK, das ist keine Partitionstabelle sondern Schleifpaste.

Vielleicht ist keine drauf, probier mal "mount /dev/sda -t vfat /mnt/blubb"

Nur frag ich mcih mich, wie man auf ein Blockdevice ohne Partitionen ein FS erzeugen kann?
Deswegen bin hab ich /dev/sda erst gar nicht probiert.
