    Wie kann ich den meine Auflösung von der Zeit 1024x768 auf die nächst höhere (1184x854 oder ähnlich) ändern.

    Ich wurde damals nur bei der Installation nach der Auflösung gefragt. Dummerweise hab ich 1024X768 als höchste Auflösung gewählt.X(

    X.org.log?

    Theoretisch müsste man auch die Auflösung während des Desktopbetriebes ändern können ohne Ändern der xorg.conf, geht zumindest bei ATI

    X.org.log existiert bei mir nicht. Außerdem habe ich Nvidia.
    wie heisst den der Befehl zu reconfigurieren der xorg.conf?

    xorgconfig und -cfg geht nicht
    mit dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg kam ich zwar zum Konfigurationsprogramm, konnte dort allerdings nur die Tastatur konfigurieren.

    Lass mich raten, du hast den Treiber nicht aus den Debianrepos installiert und den Xserver geupdatet? Eigentl. sollte das ein symbolischer Link auf libglx.so.$TREIBERVERSION im gleichen Verzeichniss sein. Bei einem Xserver-update wird aber der Link ungefragt überschrieben. Desshalb kann der Nvidiatreiber auch garnicht richtig funktionieren. Ein

    Du hast recht der Treiber ist direkt von Nvidia und jedesmal wenn ein xorg-update ansteht geht mein glx flöten. Wusste garnicht ,dass es einen Treiber aus den Repros gibt.
