    Hey Leute

    Ich besitze ein Thinkpad T60 und nutze Ubuntu 9.10.

    Doch die Laufzeit des Akkus ist unter Ubuntu erheblich eingeschraenkt. Selbst unter Windows 7 habe ich eine Laufzeit von ueber 2 Std.
    Unter Unbuntu grade mal 1,5 Std.
    Unter XP lief das Ding mehr als 2,5 Std.

    Ok der Akku nicht mehr der neuste:
    Letzte vollständige Ladung: 33,6 Wh
    Spezifizierte Maximalladung: 56,2 Wh

    Aber der Energieverbrauch wundert mich trozdem weil ich auf im Durchschnitt auf 21 Watt komme, wenn ich nur ein bisschen Texte schreibe.

    Ich habe bereits powertop installiert, saemmtliche Foren durchsucht und Thinkwiki hat mich auch nicht weiter gebracht. Nun dachte ich da einige hier im Forum vielleicht auch ein Thinkpad haben, koennt ihr mir weiter helfen.

    Bluetooth, irda usw. hab ich im Bios schon auf "hidden" gestellt. Es gab irgendwie keine Funktion zur Deaktivierung. Naja Aber alles da hat nichts gebracht.
    DVD Laufwerkausbau auch nicht.

    Ich hatte gehofft das im neuen Kernel vielleicht eine ander Energiesparoption ist und habe mal ubuntu 10.04 beta installiert. Doch da ist ja noch alles viel grausamer, ich hoffe da passiert noch ein bisschen in diese Richtung. Bei der Beta2 hab ich einen Verbrauch von durschnittlich 24 Watt.

    Powertop ist eh das tool für dich, da bekommst du iirc eh aufgelistet welche Prozesse wie viel verbrauchen. Wenn du hardwaremäßig nichts mehr abdrehen kannst wirst du wohl nur noch mit weniger Programmen was rausholen können. Schau dir vielleicht http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=linux_desktop_vitals&num=1 an, auf Phoronix findest du aber auch sicher mehr.

    Nur so im allgemeinen kann man nichts sagen, weil hier niemand weiß was du schon getweakt hast.

    Also wie gesagt in powertop hab ich schon installiert und alles abgearbeitet, das hat nix gebracht. usb hab ich schon deaktiviert, die zugriffe auf die Festplatt von 5 aus 15 sek. gesetzt. Das hat nichts genuetzt.

    Übermäßig viel mehr wirst du auch nicht rausholen können. Was du jetzt aber noch sicher machen kannst ist die Prozesse, die laufen mit powertop anzuschauen und nachzusehen wie oft sie deinen cpu aus den sleep states rausklingeln und sie dann entweder abzudrehen, oder leichterer alternativen zu suchen.

    Nebenbei, wenn du mit den Zugriffen auf die Festplatte die spin down time meinst hast du sie in die falsche richtung gesetzt.

    Die desktopeffekte sind ausgeschaltet !
    Das Zugriffe auf die CPU pro Sekunde liegen zwischen 80 und 120 !

    Bei so schlechten Werten würde ich zuerstmal überprüfen ob die CPU-Skalierung korrekt funktioniert. D.h. also dass sie nicht einfach nur eingeschaltet ist, sondern auch mal prüfen, ob sie wirklich so arbeitet wie sie soll. Eine geringe CPU-Belastung sollte z.B. nicht dazu führen, dass die volle Taktleistung vom System gefordert wird. Schliesslich hat der T60 mindestens 4 Taktstufen unter Linux verfügbar. Im Akku-Betrieb sollte allgemein niemals die Maximalleistung von der CPU gefordert werden, sondern möglichst nur die zweithöchste Skalierungsstufe. Meiner Erfahrung nach kann man mit den richtigen Einstellungen bei einem T60 unter Linux fast die doppelte Akkulaufzeit im Vergleich zu Windows rausholen. Ich hatte jedenfalls selten Laufzeiten unter 4h, während Windows es zumeist nur auf knapp 2h brachte.

    Ja also selbststaendig Tackten tut er ! Meistens laeuft er auf 1ghz ! Ja weil die Zeiten so weit auseinander Ligen mach ich mir sorgen !

    komisch 945 is bei thinkwiki garnicht aufgefuehrt !
    Aber ich hab auch die Vermutung das es richtung Grafikkarte geht.
    Aber ich wuesste nicht welcher andere Treiber noch sinn macht ?

    Für die intel gibts auch nur einen treiber, wenn du die ati gehabt hättest wär dich chance gut gewesen. Intel bringt allerdings alle 6 monate einen neuen raus, wäre interessant welchen du hast, der neueste ist iirc 2.11

    Also ich hab einmal sowohl ein frisches System mit allen Updates unter 9.10 wie auch unter 10.04 installiert!
    Also seit dem es immer weniger .conf datei gibt, weis ich ueberhaupt nicht mehr wo ich suchen soll. Ich habe keine Ahnung welchen treiber ich grade nutze. Die xorg.conf existiert unter 9.10 nicht mehr.
