ich habe hier ein Asus U30SD mit Arch aufgesetzt, was auch recht gut läuft. Nun allerdings hab ich so meine Schwierigkeiten mit Alsa und meiner Soundkarte. Sie bleibt einfach still...

aber du hast dein Sound schon mit Alsamixer eingestellt, oder ?

Was hast du bis jetzt gemacht? Kanns sein, dass alsa die musik bei deinem hdmi ausgang rausbläst?

Wie siehts aus mit pulseaudio, womit spielst du musik ab?

Danke für die vielen Hinweise. Doch diese halfen mir leider auch nicht.

ich nutze kein Pulseaudio, sondern nur Alsa (klappt auf 4 anderen Rechnern wunderbar ) Zum abspielen habe ich Firefox (Youtube), Moc und VLC ausprobiert...

Ich habe KDE installiert und dort kann man ja die Soundkarte/-Chip testen und beim Test kam kein Ton raus... egal welche Einstellung ich ausprobiert hatte. Wie kann ich prüfen, ob er den HDMI Ausgang nutzt?

alsa auch gestartet?

Setze mal per /etc/asound.conf bzw. ~/.asoundrc mal die Standardkarte und schau ob er dann Ton von sich geben möchte. Ähnlich war es bei mir, da wollte mein PC grundsätzlich auf der Webcam Ton ausgeben.
