Xorg Aüflösung ändern

    Hi, bin neu im Board und hab da gleich mal ein paar fragen.

    Ich hab ein Älteres Notebook Dell C600, und hab bis vor kurzem FressBSD 4.x drauf gehabt. Nur nach einem kleinen Platten crash. Muß ich jetzt alles neu installieren. Und hab mir auch gleich die neusten images geholt.

    Nur kann ich bei Xorg die auflösung nicht ändern egal was ich mache. Mehr wie 640x480 sind nicht drin X(

    Log datein kann ich im moment grade nich posten :)

    Unter Xfree lief alles ohne probleme.

    normalerweise stellst du die möglichen modes in der xorg.conf ein und im X kannst du dann mittels Ctrl+Alt++ oder Ctrl+Alt+- zwischen den unterschiedlichen Modi hin- und herschalten.

    Die betreffende Sektion in der xorg.conf ist Subsection "Display". Bei deiner gewählten Farbtiefe schreibst du die für deinen Monitor möglichen Modi hinein.

    Die Auflösung kannst du in der /etx/X11/xorg.conf ändern, es wäre aber besser wenn du für deine Grafikkarte Treber installiert dann wird diese automatisch umgestellt.

    sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
    Da kriegste ein halbgrafisches UI, wenn du das mit dem Textfile nich blicken solltest.
    € Sry wenn das mit BSD nich funzt; is für Linux gedacht.

    Ja die Xorg.conf hab ich schon mehr mals umgestellt. Hab ihm Forum schon fleissig gesucht. Leider gibt es fuer meine Karte keine Treiber bzw hab ich keine gefunden ist eine ATI M2/3

    Da ich jetzt keinen extra Thread aufmachen möchte.

    Ich hab mir jetzt gedacht OK, versuch ich mal die neue Version von Xorg. Und wollte jetzt pkg die neuste installieren. Trotzdem anpassund der Ftp server sagt pkg immer er kann die Datein nicht finden. Jemand ne idee was ich falsch mache :hilfe2:

    Schreib mal was du genau in die Konsole eingibst und was die Fehlermeldung ist.

    Naja, ich hab mir die mühe gemacht. Alles nochmal nach Handbuch zu installieren. Da ich gedacht habe, das ich vielleicht was übersehen habe.

    Und dann wollte ich Xorg so wie es im Handbuch steht installieren.


    pkg_add -r Xorg
    Error : FTP Unable to get ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreebSD/*/*/Xorg.tbz usw

    So dann habe ich mir gedacht wenn ich das schon so mache kann ich auch gleich die Neueste version von Xorg nehmen da auf dem Sever nur die 6.9 liegt. Und hab den FTP dann eingetragen. Soweit ich mich noch erinnern konnte wie das wahr.
