wieder mal nvidia direct rendering....

Hallo,

es ist zum Ausrasten, nachdem ich dachte ich hätte mein direct rendering Problem in diesem Thread gelöst, stehe ich jetzt wieder vor dem gleichen Problem, allerdings mit einer anderen Ausgangssituation (deshalb ein neuer Thread) :

Was passiert ist:

Ich hab ein automatischen Dapper-Updater ein update gemacht, was alles geupdatet wurde weiss ich leider nicht mehr. Es waren 12 oder 13 Pakete, darunter auch linux-restricted-modules und nvidia-glx, was vermutlich die neuen Probleme verursacht.

Was nun nicht funktioniert:

Nun ja, mein direct rendering funktioniert wieder nicht mehr, und damit ist auch meine xine-ui wieder zerschossen.

Alle relevanten Infos:

direct rendering: No

Und die xorg.conf, die hab ich nach goodspeeds tips geändert, womit es ja funktioniert hat vor den updates (und die ich seither nicht mehr geändert habe):

Was auch merkwürdig ist:

Ich wollte gerade nvidia-settings starte, dabei krieg ich die Fehlermeldung:

 nvidia-settings

ERROR: NV-CONTROL extension not found on this Display.


ERROR: Unable to determine number of NVIDIA GPUs on ':0.0'.


ERROR: Unable to determine number of NVIDIA Frame Lock Devices on ':0.0'.

Laut synaptic ist das Paket überhaupt nicht installiert, möchte ich es installieren würde nvidia-glx deinstalliert werden....

Wie kann denn durch die Updates mein direct rendering wieder abgeschaltet werden? Und was kann ich nun tun?

Hoffe auf Hilfe.....

Auch ein

cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep -i ee

liefert nichts zurück.

So,

wollte nur mal bekannt geben, das das Problem gelöst ist, es lag tatsächlich am gdm.

Ein

apt-get install --reinstall gdm

hat die Sache gelöst, woran es genau lag kann ich nicht mehr nachvollziehen, aber was solls........
