Wep Schlüssel keine Verbindung, WPA kein Problem...

Hab da noch ein Problem,

und zwar muss ich in meiner Fritzbox den WEP Schlüssel aktivieren, weil unser jüngstes Familienmitglied mit seinem Nintendo nur den WEP Schlüssel als Möglichkeit hat.

Die WLAN-Verbindung, mit WPA funktioniert einwandfrei... leider nicht mit dem WEP...
Weder mit dem Networkmanager noch unter ifup.

Also auf den ersten Blick sieht das für mich erstmal gut aus? Kannst du denn die FritzBox - IP anpingen oder geht das auch schon nicht. Hast du mal geguckt ob deine Route noch stimmt?
 
also... anpingen geht auch nicht... wie gesagt/geschrieben, nur mit dem WEP...mit WPA Verschlüsellung ist alles prima!
Bevor ich nun wieder Stunden lang in den Foren suche, ich weiß dass der liebe Herr "RainMaker" das so möchte.. *lächel* ..., könntest du mir da kurz Hilfestellung geben wie den Rote prüfen kann?

Du solltest solche Ausgaben in Codeblöcke setzen. Andernfalls werden bestimmte Zeichenkombinationen als Smilies oder ähnliches gewertet. Oder, alternativ, unten den Haken bei "Grafische Smileys deaktivieren" setzen.

damit kannst du deine Routingtabelle prüfen. Wenn pingen aber schon nicht geht, dann ist die Route erstmal zweitrangig.
Hast du den WEP Key als "Klartext" oder als HEX eingegeben?

Also, ich hab in der Fritzbox Klartext oder den vorgegebenen Code, sowie bei Yast Passphrase, dann gemeinsam genutzter Schlüssel, offen.....
eigentlich schon mehrere verschidene Möglichkeiten probiert. Hex allerdings noch nicht, da ich sowieso schon auf dünnem Eis bin und nicht weiß, wie ich genau damit umgehen kann.
Wenn ich aber die unverschlüsselt wähle, funktioniert wieder alles, wie auch bei dem WPA Schlüssel.
