Wie der Thread schon sagt: ich will mit meinem USB-Wlan-Stick (USB-ID 0846:4110, grüne LED) undopensuse ins Netz. Bei Yast wird der auch schon gefunden. Leider kann ich aber keine Netzwerke sehen. Ist der jetzt installiet, wenn ich den sehe, oder nicht?

Mh hast du dir schon mal Ndiswrapper angeschaut? Mit diesem Programm kannst du Windows Treiber für Wlan Karten bzw. Sticks unter Linux verwenden. Hier ist ein Howto was ich auf opensuse.org gefunden hab. *klick*. Ich hab mich selber noch nicht so groß mit Ndiswrapper auseinander gesetzt aber vielleicht konnte ich dir ja helfen.
 
Ich bin mir ja noch nicht mal sicher, ob das ding nicht schon funktioniert. Es wir ja gelistet. Wie find ich das denn raus?
 
In dem du nach vorhandenen Wlan Netzen suchst. Wenn dein Stick, wie du ja gesagt hast, erkannt worden ist, kannst du in Yast unter dem Menüpunkt Netzwerkgeräte/Netzwerkkarte ihn einstellen.

Der Prism2 sollte eigentlich out-of-the-Box direkt laufen.

Hast du die WLAN Kernel Treiber bei der Installation ausgewählt? Schau mal im YasT -> Software installation und dort mal nach wlan suchen ... (sollte dann kmp-wlan* sein)
 
evtl. laäuft das ding ja. bekomme aber im netzwermanager keine netze angezeigt und kann mich auch nicht mit meinem wlan verbinden. Kann man da was testen?

ich komm nur leider nicht in den """/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-wlan0""" rein. Oder ist das kein file. Wie kann ich da meine eingaben machen?

Wie hast Du den Stick installiert? Mein immer wieder kehrender Hinweis:
der Networkmanager muß nicht funktionieren. Bei mir hat die konventionelle Installationsmethode (auszuwählen am Anfang der Netzwerkkarteninstallation anstatt Networkmanager) ifup funktioniert.
Noch mal, wie hast du den Stick versucht zu installieren. Zeigt Dir kwlan oder KWIFi irgendwelche Netze an?
