smb.conf: Userauth für Home Folders und kein Auth für Public Folders möglich?

Hi!

Ich versuche gerade meinen kleinen Linuxserver als Fileserver herzurichten. Bisher läuft nur Samba drauf. Jetzt meine Frage:

Ich möchte jedem, der einen Account auf dem Server hat gestatten auf sein Home Folder zuzugreifen. Das geht auch mit folgender smb.conf perfekt.

Nun möchte ich aber allerdings auch (z.B. für Lanparties) ein Public Folder erstellen, auf das jeder read/write Zugriff hat. Das funktioniert aber leider nicht so ganz... :( Egal was ich mache, ich bekomme immer die Anmeldeaufforderung, wenn ich von welchem PC im Netzwerk auch immer versuche auf den Server bzw. das Public Folder zuzugreifen.

Ich hoffe ihr versteht was ich meine! :)

Was stimmt daran nicht? Ich habe mit

smbpasswd -a <user>
bisher nur die User hinzugefügt, die auf die Homes Zugriff haben sollen. Muss ich "nobody" auch noch hinztufügen?

Einige Tipps

Hallo,

folgender smb.conf - Eintrag:

[Austausch]
path = /opt/Austausch
read only = No
create mask = 0660
directory mask = 0770
force group = users


Natürlich muss dann das Verzeichnis /opt/Austausch folgende
Rechte haben:

rwxrwx--- /opt/Austausch (chmod 770)

und Kommando

chgrp users /opt/Austausch

Es haben dann alle Benutzer, die der Gruppe users angehören Zugriff.

Danke für die Antwort! Leider ist das immer noch nicht, was ich suche. Ich versuch nämlich das Public Folder für alles und jeden freizugeben, also auch für Leute, die keinen Account auf dem Server haben.
