Hallo ein Kunde sucht einen Senior System & Network Admin in Berlin
Your main responsibilities will be deploying, monitoring and maintaining servers (physical and virtual), aggregating performance data and defining procedures and solutions to maintain an acceptable level of uptime. You will work closely with our development engineering/architecture lead to meet these responsibilities, and can draw on the development team to support you in delivering the solutions you define.
You will be responsible for implementing and continuously updating a server management strategy to maintain high availability, security and scalability as the company grows. Additionally, you will maintain our servers and network in the datacentre, along with cloud document systems, office networks and processes to meet strict data privacy and security requirements.
What we Expect
At least 5 years of experience with administering Linux servers (Debian).
Confidence making decisions, establishing processes and enforcing guidelines.
Expertise in the following is required:
centralised log management (ELK preferred)
Virtualization (libvirt/KVM preferred)
setting up physical and virtual IP networks
monitoring (eg. icinga2)
backups (eg. bacula)
system security
Additionally I’d be great if you have experience with:
centralised configuration management systems
high-availability setups
video streaming
German data privacy regulations
Solid understanding of current internet security threats.
Great team spirit, service mentality and a sound business understanding.
Very good English is required, German highly desired for this role.
