Probleme mit Maus und Tastatur

Hallo zusammen,
um mal was neues auszuprobieren und nicht mehr durch Microsoft determiniert zu sein, habe ich gestern auf meinem PC openSUSE 10.2 (x86-64) installiert. Nun würde ich mein neues Linux gern ein bisschen näher kennenlernen, aber leider macht mir meine Maus immer einen Strich durch die Rechnung:

Zwar kann ich nach einiger Zeit den Mauszeiger noch bewegen, aber das Klicken funktioniert nicht mehr. Außerdem hängt das System ab und zu, sodass Musik nicht ordentlich wiedergegeben werden kann. Das System läuft, trotz Intel Pentium D 805- Prozessor und 1GB Arbeitsspeicher, auch nicht gerade besonders schnell.

Hat vielleicht jemand eine Idee woran das liegen könnte? Falls jemand was schreibt, dann bitte auf Noob- Deutsch. Sorry, aber von Linux hab ich noch keinen Plan. Und vielleicht könnt Ihr mir auch eine Tastenkombi zum Herunterfahren geben ;-)

Edit: An der Maus liegt es nicht, denn die habe ich schon ausgetauscht. Wenn es trotzdem wichtig ist: Ich hab ne Logitech- USB- Funkmaus... Und den USB- Anschluss hab ich auch gewechselt.

hast du mal probiert, ein knoppix reinzuschieben ? läuft das auch so träge ? tut mir leid, aber mit suse kenn ich mich nicht (mehr) aus :-)

Danke für die Antwort! Mit Knoppix hatte ich die Probleme nicht. Hatte auch schon mal ganz kurz Ubuntu drauf und auch da machte die Maus keine Probleme und schneller war's auch.

Eventl. liegt das Problem an deinm Chipsatz oder anderen komponenten.
openSuSE 10.2 ist normalerweise ziemlich flott, von daher würde ich auf ein inkompatibilitätsproblem tippen

Aber du hast bei der Auswahl der Distributio (Fedora, Ubuntu, SuSE, etc.) ja die freie Auswahl

vll. liegt die Trägheit auch einfach daran das du noch keinen Treiber für die Grafikkarte installiert hast?
Also bei mir hat das einiges gebracht, zwar nicht so viel wie unter WIndows aber man merkts

Tastenkombi zum Herunterfahren? also mit STRG+ALT+ENTF öffnet sich das "Beenden-Menü"(So würd ich das nennen )

Was sagt denn die Systemüberwachung (K-Menü/System/Überwachung/Systemüberwachung) über die Prozessorauslastung bei den Hängern? (hängt da wirklich das gesamte System? Hänger der Musik hatte ich nämlich mit AmaroK bevor ich ihn upgegradet hab auch....)

@ devilz: Spricht denn deiner Meinung nach etwas gegen die Verwendung von openSuse als Anfänger?

Die Geschwindigkeit ist mittlerweile besser. Mein Klick- Problem mit der Maus besteht aber weiterhin. Allerdings habe ich herausgefunden, dass ich manchmal durch Strg + Alt + Tab Maus wiederbeleben kann. Funktioniert aber nicht immer. Da ich auf der Suche nach dem Fehler sonst nicht weiter gekommen bin, hier nochmal ein paar Daten. Vielleicht hat ja jemand Lust mal nachzuschaun ;-)

Meine Maus ist eine Logitech- Funkmaus mit einem USB- Anschluss und eine Saitek- USB- Maus (kein Funk). Beide haben die selben Probleme.

Meine Tastatur ist eine von "Cherry". Sie hat einen PS/2- Anschluss. Ist so eine hier: klick

Mein Board: ASRock 775 Dual-VSTA mit Intel Pentium D 805. Vertägt sich das denn mit der x86-64- Architektur?

Vielleicht liegt das Problem ja in der xorg.conf. Die zeigt bei mir folgendes an:

@ Mike1: Warst wohl schneller im Beitrag- schreiben als ich ;-) Ich habe echt keinen Treiber für die Grafikkarte. Werde ich mal ändern. Dass die Musik nur unter amaroK hängt, hab ich mittlerweile selber rausgefunden. Prozessorauslasttung gucke ich mir beim nächsten Hänger mal an.
