Problem bei Auflöung

Hi Leute

ich habe ein Problem mit der Auflösung unter Gnome. Ich benutze das tool von Nvidia um die Xconf zu konfigurieren. Das System startet das Anmeldefenster mit der gewünschten Auflösung, aber die Sitzung wird dann in 800x600 gestartet und ich muss das dann wieder manuell auf 1024 umstellen.

In der Xconf habe ich mal begonnen alles auszukommentieren, was nicht mit meiner gewünschten eistelung zu tun hat. Aber das hat irgendwie auch nix gebrachgt.

Was sagt denn der XServer beim Start ?
Normalerweise gibt es eine Logdatei in /var/log/
 
sicher das es 800x600 ist ? was angezeigt wird und nicht 1024x768 ? weil dann wüsste ich an was es liegen könnte :>
 
dann poste bitte die log .... ohne die kann man dann nix sagen

Anscheinend sind die Modelines die das xconfig tool generiert nicht in Ordnung.

Nachtrag: Verzichte doch einfach auf Modelines

Also ich hab jetzt mehrere Versuche gestartet.

1. ich habe die kompletten modlines gekillt indem ich sie auskommentiert habe. Daraufhin gleiches Problem. Die Session startet immer noch in 800x600

2. Ich habe mri eine komplette neue Xorg.conf (inklusive englischer Tastatur Layouts) von Nvidia-Settings erstellen lassen. Immer noch das gleiche problem. Der Splach Screen startet mit 1024 die Session an sich startet it 800x600

ich habe meher Modis erstellen lassen von Auto bsi fest eingestellter einstellung. Es bleibt immer das gleiche ergebnis



Gibt es vielleich tirgendwo eine Datei, in der der user angeben kann, welche Auflösung er haben möchte, die vieleicht dann eingreift und sagt "mach 800x600"? habe keine .X11 oder so gefunden :-/


EDIT: Problem gelöst

mit "sudo gnome-display-manager" habe ich die richtige einstelunegn aufrufen könnne. JEtzt klappts. Dnake nocham für eure hilfen :)

Ja die heißt xorg.conf
