Mplayer ruckelt

Hi

ein Gegenthread zum "MPlayer phantastisch"...

Ich verwende MPlayer mit GUI, komischerweise ruckelt er bei Videos jeglicher Art. Dieses Problem habe ich bei anderen Playern (VLC, Totem, usw.) nicht.
Hat vielleicht gemand eine Idee, woran das liegen könnte. Der PC ist mit 600MHz zwar nicht der schnellste, aber mit anderen Playern klappt es ja.
Früher, zu KDE-Zeiten habe ich immer Kaffeine benutzt, aber leider gefällt dieser mir unter Gnome nicht so besonders.

JaJaJa würdeste nicht das _hervorragende_ GUI nutzen wüsstest du was zu tun ist.

Possible reasons, problems, workarounds:
- Most common: broken/buggy _audio_ driver
- Try -ao sdl or use ALSA 0.5 or the OSS emulation of ALSA 0.9.
- Experiment with different values for -autosync, 30 is a good start.
- Slow video output
- Try a different -vo driver (-vo help for a list) or try -framedrop!
- Slow CPU
- Don't try to play a big DVD/DivX on a slow CPU! Try -hardframedrop.
- Broken file
- Try various combinations of -nobps -ni -forceidx -mc 0.
- Slow media (NFS/SMB mounts, DVD, VCD etc)
- Try -cache 8192.
- Are you using -cache to play a non-interleaved AVI file?
- Try -nocache.

MPlayer gibt dir die lösung aber du willst sie nicht hören (gui)

bei kernel unter:

-Device Drivers
-Character devices

dann unter:
/dev/agpgart (AGP Support)

sicher dass du dort alles rictig gemacht hast?

denn nur xv/x11 arbeitet nur richtig, wenn man den agp treiber auch vorhanden ist.

Also die 3D Treiber verwende ich nicht....

Ich werde es mal ohne GUI versuchen, danke erst mal.
Allerdings ist ne GUI schon ne feine Sache..

setz doch mal folgende option in deine /etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf

vo=xv

Danke, das vo=xv hat mir sehr geholfen! Es ist um einiges schneller geworden..

Allerdings sagt mir mplayer, dass man PC zu langsam sei.
