knoppix 3.4

Hallo,

ich hatte knoppix 3.4 bereits vor einigen Wochen schon einmal installiert, hatte mich aber dann für suse 9.1 entschieden. So nun ist aber meine Experimentierphase mit suse zu Ende und knoppix mußte wieder ran.
Nun zu meinem Problem:

Ich habe mich für die beginner-installer-Variante entschieden, obwohl einige behaupten, man solle debian-installer nutzen. Ist da überhaupt ein Unterschied, außer das bei Beginner die komplette Hardware erkannt wird.

Aber nun zu meinem eigentlichen Problem:

1) Ich möchte nun endlich apt-get nutzen. Ich habe in einem Tutorial gelesen, man solle unter root zu allererst "apt-get update" wählen. Dies tat ich und nach ein paar Minuten zeigte er mir an, daß alle Verbindungen, die er tätigte fehlerhaft waren. Muß ich diese apt-liste vorher editieren und wenn ja wie. Zu Eurer Info: Am Internetzugang liegt es nicht, der funktioniert nämlich unter knoppix blendend.

2) Wenn ich das Problem mit Eurer Hilfe in den Griff bekommen sollte, ist es dann möglich mit Hilfe des Befehls "apt-get dist.upgrade" mein Knoppix-System komplett auf unstable umzustellen. Ich habe nämlich heute morgen versucht Pingus (stable-Version) zu installieren und schon traten Konflikte mit einigen Paketen, welche unstable-Versionen sind, auf.
Außerdem frage ich mich, warum Herr Knopper dieses Mix aus unstable/stable/testing/usw. herausbringt, wenn dies zwangsläufig zu Konflikten führt.

Eine Frage zum Schluß, haltet Ihr mehr von Knoppix 3.4 oder Kanotix. Ich habe beide Versionen probiert, bei Kanotix (komplett unstable) ging aber das Internet nicht, obwohl alles korekt angerichtet war.

So ich hoffe, daß ich Euch nicht zuviel genervt habe und möchte mich schon einmal im voraus bedanken.

ins internet kommst du aber schon oder? was sagt ping www.google.de?
klingt blöd aber ist schon SEHR komisch wenn garkeine verbindung klappt zu den apt-quellen.

zu 2:
wenn 1 ok geht dann ja... musst dann nur entsprechend die /etc/apt/source.list anpassen.

kenne kanotix nicht ...knoppix 3.4 find ich gut ...eben wegen der paket-asuwahl über apt-get.

Also wie gesagt, alles andere geht mit knoppix blendend, benutze auch just in diesem Moment knoppix zum surfen.

Vielleicht fällt Dir anhand der hoffentlich neuen Infos irgendwas ein.

Wenn es nur an dieser apt-quellen-liste liegt, wie editiere ich denn diese ordnungsgemäß, so dass es funktioniert.

Außerdem, wenn ich schon einmal dabei bin, noch eine Frage. Ich habe heute morgen versucht pingus zu installieren (stable-Version). Mein Problem, wie in meinem ersten Beitrag beschrieben, ist einfach, daß Konflikte entstehen. Ich wollte dummerweise libvorbis0 (stable) installieren, aber es bestand schon libvorbis0a (unstable) Anschließend wollte ich die installierten Pakete mit dpkg -r paketname.deb löschen. Obwohl ich root war, sagte er ständig, Pakete lassen sich nicht löschen.

Ich hoffe mir ist zu helfen, denn ich finde trotz dieser Umstände, Linux schon jetzt viel besser als windows.

Hmm, nur mal so interessehalber.
Du schreibst, dass Du Anfänger bist, auch dass Du nicht weisst, wass der befehl ping macht, willst aber eine unstable aufsetzen?
Nicht dass das eine direkt etwas mit dem anderen zu tun hat, aber mir stellt sich gerade die Frage ob Du Dir im klaren darüber bist, was eine Unstable ist?

Das der Meister Knopper diesen Zitat:"Mix" rausbringt hat schon seine Gründe.

Hab mit kanotix noch nicht gearbeitet, dafür umso mehr mit Knoppix, und das hat bisher nie versagt.

hast du in den Netzwerkeinstellungen irgendwas verändert, so wie hier ?

Wenn ja, mach es bitte wieder rückgängig, und ändere bitte nichts mehr, von dem du (noch) nicht weisst, wie es funktioniert!

Die sources.list auf der Knoppix-CD ist meiner Ansicht nach völlig in Ordnung. Du kannst ja mal die bei dir installierte Version mit der auf der CD vergleichen. Sie liegt im Verzeichnis /etc/apt

Im gleichen Verzeichnis findest du die Datei apt.conf. Darin kannst du angeben, ob du stable, testing oder unstable als Default-Release willst.

Hallo,

entschuldigt, ich habe mir gerade mal die Definition von unstable auf www.debian.org durchgelesen und bin nun auch zu der Überzeugung gekommen, daß ich da ziemlichen Mist geredet habe.

Ich kam eigentlich auf den Begriff unstable, weil ich hier ein Tutorial - knoppix auf HD installieren /wohlgemerkt ist dieses Tutorial für Anfänger - liegen habe, indem darauf hingewiesen wird, daß man die installierte Knoppix-Version vorzugsweise mit Hilfe von apt-get auf unstable upgraden sollte, um etwaigen Paketkonflikten vorzubeugen.

Aber nochmal zu dem Befehl ping. Könnt Ihr mir vielleicht näher erklären, was es damit auf sich hat. Mir ist schon klar, daß er in gewisser Weise als eine Art Übertragungstest dient, aber was genau fange ich mit dem Ergebnis an.

Aber um nochmals auf dieses apt-get upgrade zu kommen. Ist es denn ratsam die kompletten Pakete auf stable upzugraden, weil ich Konflikte unbedingt vermeiden möchte.

Und bitte helft mir, damit ich apt-get endlich zum laufen bekomme. Wie gesagt, Internet geht wunderbar, aber sobald ich apt-get update eingebe, zeigt er mir nach ein paar Minuten Fehlermeldungen an, welche darauf hinweisen, daß keine Verbindung zu den jeweiligen Adressen aufgebaut werden kann.

Also, ein wenig zu ping.
Im Prinzip hast Du Dir die Frage dazu selbst beantwortet. Mit ping kannst Du prüfen, ob Du einen bestimmten Rechner ereichst (und in welcher Zeit) oder nicht.
Das Program ping ermöglicht einem sog. ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) Abfragen zu stellen. Ganz simpel ausgedrückt, wenn Du ein ping 192.168.0.1 machst, schickt Dein Rechner einen REQUEST (quasi Anfrage) an das Gerät mit der Adresse 192.168.0.1. Ist das gerät nicht erreichbar, meldet ping ein "Time out". Ist der Rechner erreichbar, sollte er normalerweise ein REPLY (quasi Antwort) zurückgeben. Dein Ping meldet Dir dann z.B.

64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=237 time=30.5 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=237 time=30.5 ms

- 64 Bytes wurden gesendet/empfangen
- icmp_seq bedeutet die Anzahl der REQUESTS/REPLYS
- ttl bedeutet TimeToLive. In Deinem Fall 255, heist konkret, dass sich zwischen Deinem Rechner und dem Zielgerät noch 254 andere Netzknoten dazwischen sein könnten und der Ping trotzdem ankommt.
- time gibt die Latenzzeit an, die pro REQUEST/REPLY benötigt wurde.

Hallo Monk,

sei mir bitte nicht böse, wenn ich zur Sicherheit nochmal nachfrage, aber hast du im Kontrollzentrum --> Netzwerk --> Einstellungen irgendwas verändert?
Wenn du nämlich die Zeit für Serververbindung und Servertimeout auf 2 Sekunden gesetzt hast, ist es kein Wunder, dass du Probleme bekommst.
In diesem Fall klicke bitte in dem Fenster, in dem du die Einstellungen vorgenommen hast auf "Voreinstellungen", und danach auf "Anwenden".


Zu deiner Frage bezüglich Knoppix:
Knoppix war von Anfang an als reine Live-CD konzipiert, und auch wenn inzwischen der Installer dazugekommen ist, ist sie immer noch auf diesen Einsatzzweck optimiert, und dafür ist es eben unerheblich, ob ein Paket stable, testing oder unstable ist.

Also ich habe hier in der Knoppix-Distribution nie etwas an den Einstellungen geändert. Das, was Du meinst, bezieht sich auf mein Problem mit Mandrake 10 und Suse 9.1. Also es ist alles auf default. Es gab bei Knoppix auch keinen Grund zu ändern, es lief von Anfang an zufriedenstellend, bis auf die Sache mit apt-get.

Knoppix und kanotix

hallo

icxh selbst habe kanotix BH5 und Kanotix BH7a mal installiert, funzt alles wunderbar, habe auch den Debianinstaller probiert, dort per Sarge und dann ein SID drausgemacht.

ich glaube dein Problem ist ein apt-get Problem.


Versuch mal folgendes

1. apt-setup
dort ftp auswählen und eine mirro auswählen

2. apt.get update

dann müßtes alles klargehen


wenn du komplett auf SID umsteigen willst, anstallt stavelb oder testing in der Sources.list alles auf unstable ändern.

speichern
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade

dann hast du ein SID

Bzgl. Umstieg auf SID:
Ich finde es sinnvoller, das Default-Release in der apt.conf zu ändern, anstatt die komplette sources.list

Ich habe jetzt die Adressen in den Konqueror kopiert und er ruft die Seiten auf.

Ich habe zuerst die gesamte Zeile in den Konqueror kopiert, da sagt er natürlich SERVER NOT FOUND. Mal eine andere Frage, wie erkennt er eigentlich, daß z. B. in der Zeile -

deb http://security.debian.org stable/updates main contrib non-free

- nur http://security.debian.org benutzen muß, um die Verbindung aufzubauen, vielleicht liegt bei mir der Fehler darin, da er die gesamte Zeile benutzt (also von deb bis free in diesem Bespiel) und so nicht den Server finden kann, weil es diese Adresse nicht gibt.

Vielleicht fällt Dir etwas ein noch was ein.

Auch Dir ein dickes Danke für Deine Mühe, aber Klaus hatte Recht, denn apt-setup gibt es bei knoppix 3.4 nicht.

Hi,
bevor Du dir eine riesen Mühe machst. Erstmal Knoppix weg und Kanotix nehmen.
Das ist wesentlich besser zum HD-Installen geeignet.
Dann internet einrichten und auf das Kanotix-WIKI schauen, dort steht wie Du aus deinem Kanotix nach Debian-Art, nur der Modus ist der richtige zum HD-Install, ein Sarge machst.
Dann ein den Tode verachtendes apt-get update und ein apt-get dist-upgrade und alles wird gut.
Wenn Du noch so neu in der Linuxwelt bist, dann willst Du bestimmt nicht mit einem unstable
Arbeiten, es kann nämlich manchmal recht verzwickt sein irgendwelche Bugs zu beseitigen.

Unbedingte Pflichtlektüre ist dann natürlich auch das Debian-Anwenderhandbuch. Dort steht
alles was Du brauchst um erstmal klarzukommen.
Desweiteren wird Dir dann auch im Kanotixboard weitergeholfen, hier natürlich auch.

zunächst zu deiner Frage bzgl. der sources.list. Die Liste ist vollkommen in Ordnung, wenn es dich interessiert, findest du Einzelheiten über den Aufbau dieser Datei, indem du

man sources.list

eingibst.

Aber nun zu deinem eigentlichem Problem, so wie ich das sehe, ist die Apt-Get-Konfiguration auch in Ordnung. Wenn ich das ganze bei mir von CD aus versuche, kann er sich auch mit den Servern verbinden, allerdings kommt dann die Fehlermeldung, dass er nicht auf read-only Medien schreiben kann

Die Frage ist nur, ob das Problem bei dir allgemein besteht, oder erst durch die HD-Installation entstanden ist.
Du solltest daher jetzt mal folgendes versuchen: Boote von der Knoppix-CD und probier dort mal apt-get update zu machen. Schau dir die Fehlermeldungen genau an, dann siehst du, ob er Verbindung zum Server herstellen konnte, oder nicht.

Wenn er von CD aus die Verbindung herstellen kann, liegt es an der Installation. In dem Fall würde ich dir raten, wenn du bei Knoppix bleiben willst (s. Posting von sowatt), das System neu zu installieren, aber diesmal als debian-installer.

Wenn das Problem auch mit der CD auftritt, gäbe es noch die Möglichkeit, apt neu zu installieren, aber da müsstest du einen debian-User fragen, was du in dem Fall alles brauchst.

In diesem Sinne, und trotz aller deiner Probleme noch viel Vergnügen mit Linux

Ich habe Knoppix gestern morgen neu installiert (mit diesem vereinfachten knoppix-installer /nicht aber wie knoppix von cd). Am Tag davor habe ich knoppix wie im Howto beschrieben mit dem debian-installer installiert, der Erfolg in Bezug auf apt-get war derselbe.

Ich werde trotzdem mal versuchen, was Du vorgeschlagen hast.

Aber wie kann es sein, daß das bei jedem anderen funktioniert und nicht bei mir.

Hallo Klaus,

ich habe versucht apt-get update im CD-Modus zu versuchen. Ich bekam diegleichen Fehlermeldungen wie unter dem installierten Knoppix. Ob ich Knoppix nochmal neu herunterladen soll, vielleicht ist meine Version gerade in diesem Punkt defekt. Weil viele Möglichkeiten den Fehler aufzuspüren, gibt es wahrscheinlich nicht mehr. Mir ist schon beim installieren aufgefallen, als ich das Standard-Datei-Format - ext3 - installieren wollte, kamen Fehlermeldungen beim partitionieren. Deshalb habe ich auf reiserfs installiert.

Noch eine andere Frage, hast Du Erfahrung mit dem Programm usb-view. Dieses Tool wird bei Knoppix mitgliefert und zeigt an, welche Geräte an die USB-ports angeschlossen sind. Mein Problem, er zeigt mir Drucker und mein USB-Joypad an. Der Drucker läuft perfekt, aber das Joypad nicht mal ansatzweise.

Jetzt zu meiner Frage: Man hat die Möglichkeit bei USB-view auf configure zu klicken. Wenn ich dies tue, dann scheint er mich zu fragen, wohin ich es installieren soll, oder nicht? Wenn ja, wohin damit?

Unter Mandrake und Suse läuft das Joypad.

Hallo Klaus,

bitte lacht mich nicht aus, aber wir haben hier erst seit zwei Monaten unsere DSL-Leitung. Deswegen habe ich wirklich keine Ahnung, was ein Proxy-Server ist. Ich habe zwar schon oft in Konfigurationen davon gelesen, aber bisher immer die Finger davon gelassen, weil es meistens automatisch (soll heißen ohne mein dazutun) lief.

Vielleicht nochmal zur Erklärung:

Wir haben an unserem Internetzugang zwei Rechner:

1) Rechner 1 - an diesem Rechner wurde per USB die Fritz-Box, welche bei uns als Router fungiert (AOL-DSL), angeschlossen.

2) An dieser Fritzbox ist ein LAN-Eingang, welchen ich mit meinem Rechner nutze. Da dieser Router die IP-Adressen automatisch vergibt, haben wir uns bisher nie gedanken über dhcp, proxy-Server und dergleichen gemacht.

Übrigens mein Problem von gestern mit Paketkonfilikten habe ich in den Griff bekommen, habe jetzt gecheckt, daß Knoppix zum Großteil aus testing, unstable besteht. Seitdem installiere ich alle Pakete auf testing-Basis und habe bisher nicht eine einzige Konfliktmeldung bekommen.

Aber das Problem mit der Grafik-Karte -ATI-Radeon SE 9200- habe ich immer noch nicht gelöst.
