IBM T22, Debian Etch 4, X-Server Start
Hallo Linuxer,
ich habe da ein seltsames Problem mit meinem T22.
Debian Etch habe ich frisch installiert. Der T22 ist am Netzteil angeschlossen. Nach der Installation kommt der Re-Start und das Gerät bleibt beim starten des X-Servers mit -Cursor Oben Links Auf Dem Bildschirm- stehen. Es reagiert auf keine Tastatureingabe mehr.
Also schalte ich durch den Netzschalter aus. Starte neu, dieses mal mit Akku Power und siehe da, der X Server startet. Solange das Gerät mit Akku betrieben wird kann man dieses Spiel endlos wiederholen doch wehe man versucht's mit Netzbetrieb.
Hatte dieses Phänomen auch schon unter Debian Etch Testing.
Ein Tipp in einem Forum war die Section DRI raus zu nehmen, hab ich jetzt auch versucht --> kein Erfolg.

Zum Thema selbst: Das Problem liegt sicherlich nicht beim DRI, sondern eher beim APIC oder ACPI.

Ich fahre ein T23 nur mit APM, ACPI läuft da nicht richtig und verursacht derartige Probleme. Ggf. hilft schon ein BIOSupdate.

Wenn du dann dennoch nicht auf Powermanagement verzichten willst probierst du folgendes:

Damit geht bei mir zumindest Standby und suspend-2-RAM. Und mit ein wenig Gefrickel sogar Hibernate (mit dem kleinen Schönheitsfehler, das nach dem Erwecken der Sound nicht mehr geht. Alle bisher versuchten Tricks brachten leider nix :( )
 
Das werde ich heute Abend mal testen. Obwohl der T22 dauernd am Netz läuft und weder Bildschirm noch HDD abschalten soll. (der Akku hat die typische IBM Schwäche)
