GRUB nur im MBR

Hi,

ist es möglich, GRUB, genau wie andere Bootloader, wie z.B. LILO, nur im MBR zu plazieren? Normalerweise braucht GRUB ja lesenden Zugriff auf die Partition, auf der sich seine conf-File befindet... Wie kann ich die gleich mit in den MBR einbinden?

Was genau bewirken
--force-lba und
--no-config-file ?
