Firefox-Icon verändern?

hi all,

soweit ich das weiß muss man, um das icon vom firefox zu ändern, die neuen icon-dateien in ~/.mozilla/firefox/chrome/icons/default einfügen. Ich hab sowohl die default.xpm als auch die main-window.xpm dadrin gespeichert, allerdings nimmt firefox das nit. stattdessen macht er so ein hässliches icon draus (is wohl das gnome standard icon):

Was habe ich da falsch gemacht? weiß jemand weiter?

ich hab das bei einer früheren Installation mal gemacht. Guck mal hier, war eine dieser Anleitungen. Weiss leider nicht mehr welche, sollte wiedermal Bookmarks ausmisten:
