Hi Leute...

...da bin ich wieder...endlich wieder unter Linux :)

...und habe wieder das gleiche Problem mit der Skystar2 und Koffeine sobald ich den ATI driver installiere...

Ich bin so vorgegangen: Erst ohne Driver probiert...DVB-S geht super...tunen, kanalwechseln, etc....alles...

Dann habe ich (wegen 3D unterstuetzung) den ATI-Proprietary driver installiert, nach dieser Anleitung: http://wiki.debian.org/ATIProprietary

...dann starte ich neu, mach kaffeine an, und dann startet der Xserver neu... (zumindest startet er hier neu, und bleibt nicht total haengen :) )

Ich hab kaffeine in einem terminal gestartet, um dort ein wenig output zu haben ;)

Schau mal unter /var/log/ ... da liegen syslog und Xorg.0.log ... und die älteren Versionen (in denen vielleicht der Abbruch verzeichnet ist).

da läuft was schieff .. was genau musst du mal in der xorg log suchen ... evtl findet sich da was ... die infos die bisher da sind reichen leide rnicht aus um etwas genauer zu werden .... zumindest nicht für mich

Versuch doch mal den aktuelleren ATI-Treiber von der ATI-Seite ... der irgendwas scheint dem hier ja nicht zu schmecken ...

Also ich hab's mal probiert...und er startet ganz normal...nur bekomm ich eine nette message, kernel-error...wenn ich mich eingeloggt habe...

Aber 3D geht...nur eben Sat-TV nicht...

Hmm ... mal ne spaßige Idee zur Abwechslung ...
Du hast doch 4GB RAM ... nehm mal 2 RAM-Riegel raus ...
 
abgesehen davon, das du sicherlich ne vernünftige lösung bevorzugst, eventuell als workaround einfach nen 2ten xserver für 3d-apps aufmachen, und normal den radeon treiber nutzen.

mein 3d/2d lüppt zwar, aber trotzdem mache ich z.B. gerne für fullscreen games nen 2ten xserver auf. ich wüsste z.B nicht wie man aus vielen games wieder (windowslike) auf den desktop kommt und multimediatasten funktionieren dann meist auch nicht mehr.

Einen 2ten xserver? Das geht? Interessant...nur wie? :P

....und natuerlich waere eine vernuenftige Loesung vorzuziehen ;)

Also ich hab Lenny mit einer ATi und dem FGLRX weils leider keine anderen 3D Treiber für die 3000er gibt.
Also ich musste den installer 2 mal ausführen und dann gings. Erst kam ein grafischer installer und auf einmal nur im Terminal, naja aber danach ging er und dem ausführen von dem config tool von Ati.
Ich hab zwar Gnome und muss sagen das der fglrx 3 Sachen nicht richtig kann:
- wine D3D Anwendungen
- Benutzer wechseln
- Compiz-Fusion und dabei Videos gucken (Flackern der Videos das es nicht mehr heilig ist)
