Crossover Office und "bad font"

Immer wenn ich versuche mit Crossover Office MS Office zu installieren stürzt mir beim Schritt officesetup --> add Microsoft Office der X-Server ab. Ich habe schon in den FAQs von Codeweavers nachgeschaut und da steht nur drin, dass das an einem "bad Font" im System liegt. Wie kann ich diese kaputte Schriftart reparieren oder zumindest deinstallieren ?
 
Welchen Linux ?
Welche XFree version ?
Hast du zusätzliche Fonts im System ?

Falls ja lösch die raus ... am einfachsten übers KDE-Kontrollentrum ! :)
 
Ich habe Mandrake Linux 9.0, Kernel 2.4.19
XFree Version ist 4.2 und ich habe nur im Control-Center von MDK Windows-Fonts installiert.
Ich hab schon sehr viel probiert (gegooglt, einige TTF-Fonts deinstalliert,.....), muss ich vielleicht was in der XF86Config-4 ändern ???
 
Hmmm ... welche CrossOver Version nutzt du denn ?

Probier mal NUR die Orginalen Fonts im System zu lassen ....

Was ich ziemlich komisch finde, weil bevor ich das System neu installiert habe, hats funktioniert. :(

PS: Leider bin ich als Schüler auf Word & Co. angewiesen ;(

Warum kein OpenOffice ? - Ist auch nix anderes !
Welches Office haste denn unter CrossOver installiert ? das gleiche wie vorher ?

Also an DEINER Stelle würde ich OpenOffice nehmen ...
 
Ich kann leider kein OpenOffice oder ähnliches nehmen, weil wir die HÜs (vor allem in Textverarbeitung) im Word schreiben müssen und dann den Professoren per Mail schicken.
Zweiter Grund ist, dass ich MS Office perfekt beherrschen muss, sonst schaffe ich die Schule nicht. (HAK mit "Digital Business"-Zweig) Und wir lernen ja auch alles mit Word & Co.

Ich versuche das MS Office 2000 zu installieren aber bei dem Schritt ADD ----> MS Office 2000 ----> arbeitet er ein bisschen............und dann stürzt der X-Server ab und es geht gar nix mehr und ich kann nur noch reseten. ;(

Kannst du mal deine XF86Config anhängen ?
(/etc/X11/XF86Config....)

Welche Graka hast du im System ?

Ich hab ne Intel onboard i810 drin.

So hab dir mal ne modifizierte XF86Config angehängt !

Schau mal ob die mit deinem Sys läuft !

Move mal alle XF86Config auf dem /etc/X11/ woanders hin, damit nur diese dann benutzt wird ! (am besten nach /etc/X11/backup )

Also ich habe jetzt einmal alle (also XF86Config-4 und XF86Config) nach /etc/X11/backup verschoben und nur die neue reingegeben, da kam die Fehlermeldung "no screens found", dann hab ich nur die alte XF86Config-4 auch noch dazugegeben und der X-Server hat wieder funktioniert, aber bei der Installation von MS Office is er wieder abgestürzt. ;(
 
OK dann nimmt er wohl die -4 bei dir !

Dann muß ich die grade nochmal abändern ... mom :)

Welche der oberen ist deine -4 ?
 
gut hier die modifizierte

mußte natürlich die .txt wegmachen !

also muß dann auch XF86Config-4 heißen ...

Es kommt wieder die selbe Fehlermeldung wie vorher :(

Danke für deine Mühen, ich muss jetzt leider schlafen gehen, ich komme aber morgen am Abend sicher wieder.
