Liebe Boardgemeinde,

Ich werd das ganze mal möglichst knapp halten, damit ihr keine Romane von "ARghs sche****" etc. durchlesen müsst ;) .

Erfahrung mit Linux: 0 - nix - nada
Distri: Ubuntu 7.04 desktop am64

Computer:
AMD Athlon 4800+ EE
GeForce 8800 GTS
Samsung 205BW 20" Widescreen Monitor
SATA II 250GB Festplatte wo auch Linux drauf ist
IDE 150GB Festplatte mit XP
MSI K9A Platinum MoBo

Problem:
Ich hab versucht Ubuntu zu installieren... dabei wurde schon bei "Starten und Installieren" (oder so) der Bildschirm schwarz.
Nun gut... ich habs in dem abgesicherten Grafikmodus versucht und es hat geklappt.
Jetzt will ich Ubuntu von der Festplatte starten... und es bleibt wieder Schwarz. Da ich keine Befehle bei Linux in der Konsole kenne(geschweige denn weiß was genau die Konsole ist udn wie ich sie aufrufe... ist es das ding das wie Dos aussieht?*gg*), hab ich keinen Plan wie ich das jetzt beheben soll!

Kann mir geholfen werden?
Gerne auch per JABBER!

Tut mir leid, ich wusste nicht, was ich sagen soll und wie ich diese Infos bekomm.

Was passiert genau:
Ich starte Linux über den Bootmanager(Linux/Linux-Sicher/Memcheck/XP Home) und der Bildschirm bleibt ganz einfach schwarz.
Wenn ich es im abgesicherten Modus starte ist glaube ich diese Konsole aktiv. Ich weiß aber nicht was ich da machen kann um das Problem zu beheben.

Es erscheint nur der Bootmanager oder halt die Konsole im sicheren Modus(falls es sie ist*g*).

Kann mir niemand helfen? Ich würde wirklich gern mal Linux ausprobieren, aber wenns schon an der installation scheitert ist es wohl doch nichts für mich...:(

Nun kannst du diese Editieren( noapic" und "acpi=off" hinzufügen + Enter) ,wenn fertig ein b für Boot.

Hat nicht geklappt, insofern ich es richtig gemacht habe.

Hab auch etwas anderes probiert: habe im Abgesicherten Modus "init 3" eingegeben und dann ist ubuntu gestartet.

Das kann doch aber kein Dauerzustand sein?! Wenn ich dann versucht habe wieder in die Konsole zu kommen (Strg+Alt+F1) war der Bildschirm wieder schwarz.
Habe dann diese 3D-Treiber aktiviert und neugestartet woraufhin nix mehr ging wenn ich init3 gemacht habe außer eine Warnung dass die XF86Config fasch ist und lange Fehlermeldungen und dann kann ich die editieren.
Ich versteh zwar nicht viel davon, aber zumindest nvidia stand da drin und der Monitor mit normalen refresh-raten(sahen jedenfalls richtig aus?!.

Ich bin jetzt total verwirrt und kurz davor ubuntu wieder zu löschen weil ich einfach zu wenig Ahnung habe. :(

So ich installiere jetzt Ubuntu nochma neu. Ichw erde dann über init 3 reingehen und mal versuchen mit einem tool dne neuen GraKa-Treiber zu installieren. Vielleicht gehts dann...

Bin trotzdem für jeden Hinweis dankbar!

So letzter Versuch. Ich installiere gerade neu, werde in der xorg.conf die richtigen Werte eintragen und darum beten das es funktioniert... wenn nicht is Linux erstmal für mich gestorben. Die Community hat auch nicht gerade helfen können :( . Das soll kein persönlicher Angriff sein sondern eher eine überaschende Enttäuschung, da ich immer vom Gegenteil gehört habe und unter anderem deswegen Linux mal probieren wollte.

Aber zum Großteil an fehlenden Informationen liegt, da wir ja schlecht in deinen Pc reingucken können.

Ein Tipp, versuch es mal mit der Ubuntu Alternate CD, bei mir hat die schon so einige Problemkinder gerettet.

Infos: Dann sag mir doch bitte was du wissen willst. Hab bisher glaube ich alle Fragen beantwortet. Wenn nicht tut es mir leid, dann stell sie einfach nochma oder quote sie.

Ubuntu Alternate is aber ohne GUI... stell ich mir als bisher-Wondows-Nutzer schwierig vor.

Linux "was für mich"... naja einerseits dachte ich, dass Linux sich auch für nen normalen Nutzer öffnen wollte/sollte(Bei Ubuntu stand Einsteigerfreundlich... ein Grund warum ich mich dafür entschieden habe). Andererseits mach ich eigentlich schon ne ganze Menge am PC und kann (unter Windows....) auch mehr als der klassische "Gamer"/"Surfer". Aber okay anscheinend stell ich mich hier wohl wirklich total Noob-mäßig an und jeder normale Mensch würde mein Problem sofort lösen... :think: :hilfe2: X(

Richtige Werte -> Für meinen Monitor (Horiz. und Vert.)... stand als Problemlösung irgendwo hier oder woanders für mein Problem. Hat aber nicht hingehauen.

Aktueller Status:
1.Ubuntu installiert(über den2. Menuepunkt secure-mode oder so, weil das normale installen schon nicht ging [->Bildschirm wurde schwarz und blieb es auch])
2 Ubuntu im secure-mode von HDD gestartet (nomal geht nicht siehe oben)
3.über "init 3" GUI getartet
4.nVidia Treiber gezogen und nach dem und dem Tut installiert... Monitor eingestellt... probiert... geht IMMERNOCHNICHT ?( ;(

Nein ist sie nicht, lediglich die Installationsroutine ist ein besser, und es wird auf die LiveCD verzichtet.

Nein tust du nicht, das ist nur ein wenig unbeholfenheit, die mit der Zeit verschwindet.

Wenn du dein Ubuntu neu installierst hast, würde ich dir ein
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
nahelegen und dort dein X richtig einrichten, am besten bei Bildschirm und Co, den Medium Weg zu nehmen.

Ich versteh die Passage nicht ganz. Was meinst du mit "Medium"? Medium übersetz ich mir entweder mit "Mittel" oder mit "Datenträger". Das Wort finde ich aber unter Monitor nicht und weiß auch nicht was du damit meinen könntest.

Hab sowohl Medium als auch Advanced ausprobiert(ich weiß die genauen refreshraten, deswgene hab ich auch Advanced probiert).

Ich kann auch komischerweise nicht mit der Utility von NVIDIA meine Einstellungen speichern. Wenn ich auf "Save to X Configuration File" drücke und den Pfad auswähle steht da "Unable to remove old X config backup file '/etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup'. ".
Ich behaupte, dass, wenn das ginge, es ja per Default die richtige Auflösung auswählen würde udn so vielleicht mein Problem gelöst wäre. Auch habe ich gelesen, dass linux manchmal Probleme hat, die Hintergrundbeleuchtung bei LCD's anzusteuern. Wenn das so ist, wie kann ich das ändern?

Habe meinen Post eins drüber auch nochmal editiert. Guck dir das vielleicht auch nochma an.
 
Hast du ein Grafiktablett? Nein? dann schmeiß die Sektion "wacom" raus.

Funktioniert immernoch nicht. Hab den Driver aber nicht geändert, da ich die Treiber von NVIDA installiert habe.
