Aurox ist doch die RedHat LiveCD oder hab ich dort was falsch verstanden?

Aurox ist eine eigenständige Distribution die auf Fedora Basis geschaffen wurde.
Es gibt auch eine Aurox Live-CD ( http://www.aurox.org/de/index.php?page=live ) !

Vielleicht besuchst Du mal die Links wenn wir schon welche angeben ?

und ne feine Sache is dieses Aurox auch Alles dabei was bei RedHat fehlt.....

Alle kommerziellen Treiber sind dabei (Nvidia z.Bsp.) & DivX & MP3 Unterstützung etc.

Halt alles was bei Fedora aus U.S Recht fehlt ist dabei dank europäischem Recht !

und viel (!) mehr Pakete (Spiele, P2P etc.).

Ich seh derzeit keinen Grund Aurox nicht dem noch instabilen und fehlerbehafteten Fedora Core 2 vorzuziehen. 100% kompatibel sind sie allemal zueinander.

Aber wo bekommt man da die iso files für.??

bei 9.4 finde ich keine.
Bei 9.3 schon.

Kommt das noch?
Weißt du wo die sind??

Aurox 9.4

Aurox 9.4 is now available for download.
You can choose one of two mirroring servers:

* ftp://ftp.tpnet.pl/d1/aurox
* ftp://ftp.tuwien.ac.at/pub/linux/aurox/

The directories on both servers are managed the same way.
FTP installation
If we want to install "fresh" system or download the whole distribuiton (packages + installer), we should use the link
9.4/ALL/installer/
Eg. to install Aurox from FTP You should:

* download "boot" ISO: 9.4/ALL/installer/images/boot.iso and burn it
* boot the computer and when the prompt appears, type: linux askmethod
* choose FTP as a method of installation and enter the link to: 9.4/ALL/installer/

yum configuration
In the /etc/yum.conf file (You have to be root) add the folowing section:

name=Aurox Linux - 9.4 Base - PL
#baseurl=ftp://ftp.tpnet.pl/d1/aurox/9.4/ALL/packages/base/RPMS
baseurl=ftp://ftp.tuwien.ac.at/pub/linux/aurox/9.4/ALL/packages/base/RPMS

You can change the server by moving '#' sign one line down.
apt configuration
In the /etc/apt/sources.list file add the following section:

###Aurox Linux 9.4
#rpm ftp://ftp.tpnet.pl/d1/aurox/ 9.4/ALL/apt base updates
rpm ftp://ftp.tuwien.ac.at/pub/linux/aurox/ 9.4/ALL/apt base updates

Just like with yum, if You want to change the server, move the single '#' one line down.

Die ISO Dateien kommen immer erst nachdem das Heft am Kiosk ist !

Also alles schön und gut, aber ich hab keine Motivation mit 5 KB/s rumzunuggeln am Server.
Gibts da keinen schnelleren?
Da bekommt man ja Tränen in die Augen.
Da brauch man kein DSL

Hmm,
alles so lange..
Hab grade noch Zeit..

Also, ich hab mir einfach mal den ganzen Ordner /ALL auf dem Server gesaugt.
Also auch das boot Image.

Werd mir ne eigene ISO basteln.
Wenns nicht klappt saug ich dann die ISO :-)

.... So hab mal geguckt aber irgendwie iss da der Wurm drin.
Kann nicht installieren.
Kommt immer ne Fehlermeldung, ich weiß nicht was los ist.
Ich poste einfach mal das LogFile
evtl. hatte jemand ja auch sowas.....

Nur das darin nicht von Dir erwähnte Fehlermeldung steht - zumindest entdecke ich nichts was annähernd nach einem Fehler aussieht.
