Aurox 9.4
Aurox 9.4 is now available for download.
You can choose one of two mirroring servers:
* ftp://ftp.tpnet.pl/d1/aurox
* ftp://ftp.tuwien.ac.at/pub/linux/aurox/
The directories on both servers are managed the same way.
FTP installation
If we want to install "fresh" system or download the whole distribuiton (packages + installer), we should use the link
9.4/ALL/installer/
Eg. to install Aurox from FTP You should:
* download "boot" ISO: 9.4/ALL/installer/images/boot.iso and burn it
* boot the computer and when the prompt appears, type: linux askmethod
* choose FTP as a method of installation and enter the link to: 9.4/ALL/installer/
yum configuration
In the /etc/yum.conf file (You have to be root) add the folowing section:
[Aurox 9.4 Base]
name=Aurox Linux - 9.4 Base - PL
#baseurl=ftp://ftp.tpnet.pl/d1/aurox/9.4/ALL/packages/base/RPMS
baseurl=ftp://ftp.tuwien.ac.at/pub/linux/aurox/9.4/ALL/packages/base/RPMS
You can change the server by moving '#' sign one line down.
apt configuration
In the /etc/apt/sources.list file add the following section:
###Aurox Linux 9.4
#rpm ftp://ftp.tpnet.pl/d1/aurox/ 9.4/ALL/apt base updates
rpm ftp://ftp.tuwien.ac.at/pub/linux/aurox/ 9.4/ALL/apt base updates
Just like with yum, if You want to change the server, move the single '#' one line down.
