ati radion x850gto Auflösungsproblem: wo ändern in der XF86conf

Hallo miteinander,

habe hier im board schon nach Beiträgen zu folgendem Problem gesucht (leider nicht mit 100%igem erfolg):

Haben OpenSuse 10.2 drauf, eine ATI Radeon 850GTO. Der Treiber von der ATI Seite ist installiert (laut fglrxinfo steht da zwar X800 GTO - Generic, aber ich denke und hoffe, daß es keinen großen unterschied macht zu der X850GTO).

Nun kann ich die Auflösung von 1024x768 nicht auf 1280x1024 umstellen. Sax2 gibt zwar die richtige einstellung an, aber effektiv hab ich nur die niedrigere Einstellung.

Aus den Beiträgen hier scheint das problem in der XF86Conf oder aber eben in der xorg.conf zu liegen.

Mein Problem: wleche datei nun? und was genau muß ich da ändern?

also ich habe herausgefunden, dass, wenn ich die 3d Beschleunigung über Yast herausnehme, sich die Auflösung auf meine gewünschten 1280x1024 (75hz) umstellen läßt. Aber dennoch würde ich gerne die 3d beschleunigung aktivieren.

Wißt ihr denn keinen Rat?
