..:ANFÄNGER:.. Grub funktioniert nicht

hi,

bin ganz neu in der linux welt und habe jetzt auf einen rechner, auf dem nur linux als betriebssystem installiert sein soll mithilfe einer knoppix cd das ganze installiert, was auch ganz gut funktioniert hat.

hdc1 -->5gb Partition, auf der Knoppix installiert ist reiserfs

und noch ne swap partition mit 400mb

nachdem knoppix installiert war, und ich die cd entnahm und den rechner neu startete zeigt er folgendes an:

grub loading...
error 16

ich hab jetzt schon echt überall geckuckt und bin fast am aufgeben....

16 : Inconsistent filesystem structure
This error is returned by the filesystem code to denote an internal error caused by the sanity checks of the filesystem structure on disk not matching what it expects. This is usually caused by a corrupt filesystem or bugs in the code handling it in GRUB.

Wie hast du denn deine Partitionierung vorgenommen?
Steht dein grub im MBR der ersten HDD?
Wie sieht deine /boot/grub/menu.lst aus?
Wie ist deine Plattengeometrie? fdisk -l von der LiveCd aus könnte das Aufschluss bringen.

So aus der Ferne lässt sich da wenig sagen.

Hi,

danke dass du dich meinem problem angenommen hast.

Ich habe die Festplatte mit qtparted direkt unter knoppix partitioniert.

der GRUB steht im MBR

was du mit diesem fdsc -l meinst weis ich nicht...ich habs mal in der konsole eingegeben, aber hat sich nix getan

Das heisst fdisk -l und zeigt dir die vorhandenen Partitionen an und deren FS.

Fdisk ist ein Tool zum partitionieren. Und Fdisk mit der Option L seht für Partitionen auflisten.
