Hallo,
auch ich habe Probleme mit Samba.
Mein alter Server lief mit Suse 8.2, mein neuer mit Suse 10.0, 1 Update habe ich durchgeführt.
Folgende 2 Probleme habe ich noch:
1. Ich greife von einem Linuxclient drauf zu, ich habe mit root unter dem Linuxclient Schreib+Lesezugriff, mit dem Benutzer aber nur Lesezugriff...
Ich wollte das ursprünglich mit NFS lösen, wie vorher auch, aber dann muss ich
a) immer darauf achten, das ich die Dateirechte so setze, das jeder andere in der Gruppe auch meine Dateien ändern darf
b) ich konnte auch nicht schreibend drauf zugreifen, weil die UID nicht übereinstimmt. Ich habe zwar die UID auf meinem Linux-Client geändert, aber da noch andere Benutzer auf dem Server vorhanden sind, kann ich deren Dateien auch nicht öffnen. Das wurde mir dann zu kompliziert, zweigleisig zu fahren.
2. Die Performance ist mit dem neuen Server trotz 1GBit LAN bei SMB-Verbindungen schleppend langsam. Bei HTTP/ IMAP-Verbindung ist der neue Server verdammt schnell, aber SMB ist langsamer als mit dem alten Server.

Hat jemand für mich Tipps, wie ich das SMB schneller bekomme?
