2 Monitore (CRT) mit 6600 GT und TwinView

Hi!

ich versuche grade 2 CRT's an meine GeForce 6600 GT anzuschliessen..
allerdings musste ich einen monitor mit einen adapter an den digitalen eingang anschliessen...

der 2. monitor läuft immer als clone monitor...nur nicht wenn der x-server am laufen ist...

ich habe jetzt schon so viel an der xorg.conf rumgebastelt, es aber dennoch nicht hinbekommen..

zurzeit ist mein screen so gestreckt, dass er praktisch 2 monitore ergeben würde, aber der 2. springt einfach nicht an...

könnt ihr mir da nicht unter die arme greifen? :headup:

ich beschäftige mich noch nicht so lange mit X und habe jetzt schon so viele sachen darüber gelesen, dass meine config wahscheinlich ganz durcheinander ist..

Damit stellst du ein, dass Twinview das Bild auf beide Monitore verteilt. Les dir doch mal die Dokumentation vom NVIDIA-Treiber durch.

das problem ist halt nur, dass der 2. monitor garnicht erst anspringt..
bin ich im textmodus geht das..
jetzt ist halt auch die frage, ob das irgendwie an dem adapter liegt (von analog zu digital)..

meine karte müsste twinview doch eigentlich unterstützen, oder??

nein nimm aml die kompletten metamods raus und bei

Hi!

nichts...der 2.monitor ist immmer noch auf standby (orangenes licht)..
er ist immer grün, sobald x anspringt (gdm): plokk, orange..

liegt das vielleicht an den alten treibern??
hatte gestern probleme mit der installation der treiber, da die kernel-module noch alt waren..habe aber alles schon ausprobiert..
zur zeit habe ich den 7174er treiber drauf..

naja du must des natürlich anpassen je nach welche auflösung du verwendest auserdem haste zweimal crt angegeben einmal mus es crt-1 und einmal crt-0 heisen

so..es laufen jetzt beide monitore ohne probleme..
ich habe einfach HorizSync und VertRefresh bei Device mal auskommentiert..

allerdings stehe ich jetzt vor einem weiteren Problem..der zweite monitor (17") läuft nur, wenn ich bei Screen beide Modes auf 1024x768 einstelle..
allerdings ist es ziemlich bescheiden auf einem 21" (1.monitor) mit 1024x768 zu arbeiten..

kann ich also 2 auflösungen benutzen??
bei den modes unter sreen herumzuspielen bringt nichts..
