Hallo Leute,

ich hab ein Problem, das mein Notebook aber auch SuSE im allgemeinen betrifft. Deshalb hab ich´s hier reingeschrieben. Sollte es hier nicht passen, bitte verschieben.

Ich besitze ein Fujitsu/Siemens Amilo A 7620 Notebook. Ausstattung: AMD Athlon XP-M 3000+, ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 (NICH onboard).

Nun habe ich multiple Probleme. Angefangen bei der Installation. Sie bleibt grundsätzlich bei der Hardwareerkennung für die Konfiguration hängen (meist bei "Erkennung der TV-Karten"). Diese kann ich ja leider nicht überspringen.

Wenn dann SuSE endlich mal am Start ist, scheint es eigentlich zu laufen. Nur Einstellungen im KDE-Kontrollzentrum führen zum Aufhängen des selbigen bei den verschiedensten Aktionen (z.B. Umstellen der Maus auf linkshändig, 3D-Unterstützung aktivieren, ...).

Und beim shutdown immer die selbe Fehlermeldung: Oops, umount / failed, try to mount readonly on next boot, hope ... blablabla (oder so ähnlich).

Beim nächsten boot dann irgendwelche Protokolle oder Prüfungen, die beim normalen boot nicht ablaufen - mit div. Fehlermeldungen versteht sich.

Am Laufen ist (oder eben nicht *g*) SuSE 9.3 (vorher selbe Probs unter SuSE 9.1)

Nun zur eigentlichen Frage. Ich vermut dass es Probs mit der Hardwareunterstützung gibt. Wo und wie bekomme ich unter SuSE raus, wo´s hackt? Die SuSE-SDB bringt mir nicht viel, da ich über die Komponenten im Notebook nichts weiter weiß. Der suseplugger Gerätemanager findet zwar viel unbekannte Geräte, aber das macht er bei meinem Desktop-PC auch - und der läuft einwandfrei.
Meine Überlegung ist nämlich, evtl. Komponenten auszutauschen, die unter Linux Probleme machen. Denn die Alternative - ein Linux-taugliches Notebook zu kaufen - ist mir im Moment einfach zu teuer.

Vielleicht hat jemand ne Idee. Würde mich über Antworten freuen.

Wie willst du bitte an einem Notebook komponenten austauschen?
Hast du PCMCIA Karten eingesteckt?
Liste dochmal deine Hardware komplett auf - hast du mal versucht ohne deine angesteckten Komponenten SuSE zum laufen zu bewegen.

3D läuft eigentlich nur mit den ATI Treibern - und wenn du diese noch nicht installiert hast, wird es da wohl Probleme geben :)

Warum er beim mounten/umounten von / probleme macht kann ich nicht sagen, dazu solltest du mal die logfiles anhängen ...
 
boote doch mal knoppix oder eine live-cd deiner wahl und schau, welche hardware in deinem notebook steckt.

eventuell mal andere distributionen ausprobieren, muss es denn unbedingt suse sein?

Me hat ein Lifebook E-Series, allerdings mit FC3. Das läft ohne Probs. Ein Kollege hat ebenfalls ein Amilo, ebenfalls probs mit SuSE. Nach dem Wechsel auf FC3 war auch er glücklich.

Zu Euren Fragen:

@ devilz: Unter Komponenten auswechseln verstehe ich, z.B. Grafikkarte (die ist bei meinem Notebook nicht onboard), Festplatte oder cdrom-Laufwerk auszutauschen, falls dort die Konflikte liegen.
Das Problem liegt auch nicht an der fehlenden 3D-Unterstützung, sondern darin, dass sich das KDE-Kontrollzentrum generell ausklinkt, wenn ich was verstellen will!

@ niLs und Cyber: Natürlich MUSS es nicht SuSE sein. Aber gerade ich als Anfänger empfinde die Administration mit Yast schon als sehr angenehm. Ich hab mich halt bereits an SuSE gewöhnt und möchte nach Möglichkeit nicht wieder in ein neues Linux einsteigen. Trotzdem danke für die Tips. Sollte ich mit SuSE keinen Weg finden, probier ich´s mal mit Gentoo. Da hab ich noch die fizzlewizzle hier liegen (Live-CD mit KDE).

das Problem ist anscheinend gelöst!

Ich habe bei der Installation Grub folgende Bootparameter mitgegeben:

hdc=noprobe hdc=cdrom
Linux-Club.de

und

nomce=1
Unixboard.de

Nu funzt alles - die Hardwareerkennung während der Installation läuft klaglos durch, keine Fehlermeldungen mehr beim boot, Kontrollzentrum läuft einwandfrei und keine Fehlermeldungen beim shutdown :))

Was das, was ich da eingegeben hab alles bedeutet, weiß ich leider nicht. Hab´s nur nachgetippt. Kann mir jemand sagen, was diese Bootoptionen bewirken. Würde gern verstehen, was ich gemacht hab und warum´s jetzt funktioniert.

Nun dein Problem ist gelöst. Aber ich hatte ein ähnliches Problem. Mein Desktop lief unter Suse 9.2 noch einwandfrei. Unter Suse 9.3 hing manchmal die Installation und besonders X11. Unter FC3 liefs auch einwandfrei. Ich mußte mehrmal Warmstarts machen um einmal das System starten zu können. Es hat sich herausgestellt, daß nur die Gate A20 Option im Bios von Fast auf normal gesetzt werden mußte. Jetzt habe ich keine Probleme mehr.
