also nachdem der xorg Xserver ja gleich wie xfree ist

wollte ich den heute einrichten

halso gesagt getan

ich hab gentoo installiert und den kernel mit development-sources und genkernel erstellt (ich weis genkernel ist was für warmduscher und schatenparker)
nur so läuft das system einmal und einen neuen kernel kann ich selbst auch erstellen

nun
bei mir funks weder mit

ja wenn du fglrxconfig ausgeführt und fertig gemacht hast dann kannst du mit startx X starten und fertig :D , du musst allerdings die datei umbennen da fglrxconfig ein XF86Config-4 schreibt , musste halt nur nach /etc/X11/ verschieben und nach xorg.conf umbenennen
aberdiese config sieht nicht so aus als ob sie bei fglrxconfig generiert wurde

Sorry Dennis, wenn ich dich korrigieren muss, aber oben in der Datei steht 'created by xorgconfig'.
Wahrscheinlich liegt es daran, dass die Datei noch umbenannt werden muss.

Ich glaube, ich habe mich etwas ungenau ausgedrückt.
Mit dem Umbenennen der Datei meinte ich nicht die von trashcity gepostete, sondern die von fglrxconfig generierte, die ja, wie du oben richtig beschrieben hast, als XF86Config-4 abgespeichert wird, und daher umbenannt werden muss in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
Natürlich muss dazu fglrxconfig erst ausgeführt werden, aber du ihm das ja vorher schon empfohlen hattest, ging ich davon aus, dass das bereits geschehen ist.
Meine Korrektur bezog sich nur darauf, dass die gepostete Datei, aus welchen Gründen auch immer, die von xorgconfig generierte ist, und nicht die von fglrxconfig.

edit: jetzt hab ich nicht richtig hingeschaut, du hast dich ja schon korrigiert.
Ich glaub wir lassen das Thema jetzt, bevor wir noch länger aneinander vorbeiposten.

wenn du mich kennen würdest, würdest du wiesen das ich die Lösungen der Probleme auch wenn sie aus anderen Foren stammen auch hier poste
ich hab noch nie und werde nie mich mit anderen Feder schmücken

damit schaffen wir so bin ich überzeugt einen guten Ansatz für die Lösung aller Probleme

ich persönlich halte nix davon wenn jeder sein eigenes Süppchen kocht
die Suppe könnte uns allen schmecken oder?

Zum einen gehört es zur Netiquette sowas nicht zu machen und zum anderen steht die Lösung im Thread !

Wenn du nicht genau liest, sondern in allen Foren irgendwas dahin schreibst, kann das auch nix werden ...
 
fglrxconfig hat mir eine XF86Config-4 erstelt
die hab ich im /etc/X11/ zu einer xorg.conf
umbenant
so wenn ich jetzt startx ausführe wird der bilschirm schwarz die grafikkarte geht aber sicher da sie unter windows das hab ich auch noch auf diesem pc super läuft

hab das jetzt angebast ich habs mit /dev/mouse und mit /dev/psaux
versucht geht beides nicht

leider bleibt der Monitor schwarz
hab da eine Frage ich hab da eine idee
kann es sein das der Output auf der dvi schnietstelle rauskommt und nicht auf der VGA schnietstelle ?(

weil der monitor ja so schwarz bleibt
sonst kommt doch immer gleich der hinweis das man sich das log anschauen solte und die Erorr meldung

habt ihr auch noch eine idee was ich noch tun kann
die grafikkarte brauch ich leider deswegen kann ich sie nicht tauschen und unter knoppix geht sie ja also dürfet sie ok sein hab auch schon versucht die xfreeconfig-4 von knoppix zu verwenden und hab sie auch auf xorg.conf umbenant

muss ich da ein modull laden?
die ati-drivers modulle sind nicht gestartet!

also wenn du die ati-drivers emerged hast wird dir die knoppix nix bringen , du solltest das mit fglrxconfig machen und dann die von fglrxconfig erstellte config nach xorg.conf umbenennen

ok aber das mit fglrxconfig erzeugt ja eine XFreeconfrig-4 die ich dann in eine xorg.conf umbennen muss

so warum bleibt dann der Bildschirm schwarz?
