hier mal nen Auszug aus meiner Konsole wenn ich mysql eingebe:


ERROR 2002: Can´t connect to local MySQL server through socket ´/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock´ (2)

hab mysql mit den suse cd installiert .
 
damit es auch die richtigen leute lesen, schieb ich das mal nach Datenbanken....

kann es sein das du den server ( in deinem fall Localhost ) nich bekannt gemacht hast???

welche SuSE Version ?

SuSE startet mySQL beim ersten Booten nach der installation mit einem speziellen script .....danach kannstes per hand starten/stoppen ... nur dieses script konfiguriert das mysql noch automatisch .....

ich würde das in den bootrunlevel setzen und mal schauen was er beim hochfahren sagt ....
 
naja bin doch noc totaler anfänger in suse . hab suse 8.0 . wie setze ich den mysql in den bootrunlevel ?
 
Bei SuSE solltendie folgenden Befehle zum Stoppen, Starten oder Neustart des MySQL-Servers funktionieren :

/sbin/init.d/mysql stop oder start oder restart

zum start bei booten glaub ich :
insserv /etc/init.d/mysql
