ok, problem gelöst. Mir hats jetzt gereicht, und so hab ich mir einfach das Kabel geschnappt, 2 Stunden Zeit, und das Kabel verlegt. Nun hab ich DSL im Linux :)

Sooo, es gibt doch ein Programm für die Emulation von Windows Programmen und ein Programm für die Emulation von Windowsspielen. Wie heißen diese? Muss man bei Ihnen etwas beachten. Sind sie zu empfehlen? Wie ist die Zuverlässigkeit( also wieviel prozent der winprogs können ungefähr emuliert werden)? Im Wesentlichen brauch ich unter Linux eigentlich nur mein Macromedia (Fireworks, Dreamwaver etc.) und Pinnacle Studio 10. Alles andere is ja eigentlich bei Linux mit drauf.

HI,

Öffne die *exe datei, nun öffnet sich ein fenster das fragt mit welchem Programm du die Datei öffnen möchtest (ähnlich windows), gib dort oben "wine" (so heist der Emulator (für Spiele gibt es das kostenplichtige Cedega)) ein und hoffe das es funst.

Wie man aus "und hoffe das es funst" sehen kann, funktioniert das nicht immer. Es sind halt nur Emulatoren.

Emulation ist grundsätzlich nicht zu empfehlen. 1. frisst sie ziemlich viel Rechenleistung, 2. laufen die wenigsten Windows-Programme fehlerfrei mit Emulatoren und 3. laufen viele Windows-Programme garnicht.

Fireworks, Dreamweaver und Co. laufen aber meist mit Crossover-Office, einem kommerziellen Windows-Emulator. Aber auch da wirst du mit den neuesten Versionen Probleme haben. Dreamweaver in der aktuellen Version ist nur rudimentär nutzbar. Mit Fireworks habe ich da bisher noch keine Erfahrung. Viele Funktionen führen da lediglich zu kryptischen Fehlermeldungen. Pinnacle 10 kannst du vergessen. Das bekommst du aufgrund der notwendigen Hardware-Schnittstellen nicht zum Laufen. Für Spiele ist Cedega zu empfehlen, der sowohl frei, als auch kommerziell mit Support, erhältlich ist, aber auch damit laufen nicht alle Spiele.

Und wie immer stellt sich mir die Frage: Warum steigt jemand auf Linux um, wenn er weiterhin mit Windows-Tools arbeiten will/muss? Steigt ja auch niemand auf Windows um, wenn er weiterhin mit Linux-Programmen arbeiten will und auch kaum jemand wird versuchen unter Windows Mac-Programme zu emulieren.
Ich empfehle dir daher ein Dual-Boot-System, so dass du dir einfach Windows starten kannst, wenn du mit Windows-Programmen arbeiten willst/musst.
 
Nunja, gibt es nen vernünftiges Videobeabreitungsprogramm für Linux? dann nehm ich gerne dies, ich hab auf meiner Installation aber keines gefunden.Grafikbearbeitung kann ich auch Linuxeigenes nehmen und dreamwaver, da wirds auch gute Alternativen geben.

Ich hab aber gerad erstma noch nen anderes Problem:
Ich hab mir gerad nvidia graphics driver über update gezogen. Resultat:
3D Beschleunigung funzt nich.
wenn ich den offiziellen von nvidia runterlade, verschiebt sich die untere Hälfte um 10 zentimeter nach rechts bei 1280x1024 und svga, bei 1024x768(VGA) geht auch 3D Beschleunigung. Was is denn hier jetzt die Lösung?

Wie sieht denn deine xorg.conf aus? Im Normalfall kommen Grafikfehler und fehlende 3D-Beschleunigung durch falsche Einstellungen in dieser Datei.

Von Video-Bearbeitung habe ich wenig Ahnung, aber du könntest dir mal kino (nicht-linearer Editor für Video-Daten), effectv (Echtzeit-Video-Effekt-Prozessor) und die mjpegtools anschauen. An Pinnacle werden die aber nicht rankommen. Aber wie gesagt: Pinnacle mit Wine kannst du vergessen. Mache dir da lieber ein Multiboot-System oder installiere dir Windows in einer VMWare.
 
Jo, muss ich wohl Windows vorerst drauf lassen. Vielleicht kommt Pinnacle ja irgendwann mal für Linux :)

Damit die 3D-Beschleunigung funktioniert, müssen die Module dri und drm in der Sektion "Module" geladen werden.
 
ja, also das hat leider nicht geholfen.

Ich hab mir jetzt den aktuellen Treiber von nvidia geladen, da is zwar die 3D Beschleunigung auch blind und nicht aktiviert, beim Ausführen von Spielem, die diese Unterstützung brauchen gibt es jedoch keine Probleme. Aber hier hab ich wie gesagt das Problem, dass die untere Hälfte bei 1280x1024 verschoben ist. Ich habe nun einen Tipp bekommen, dass dies an einer falschen Einstellung der Modelines liegen könnte. Also, dacht ich mir, Ihr wisst das hier bestimmt wie die richtig lauten müssen.

Mit videogen kannst du individuelle Modelines für deinen Monitor erstellen. Dazu solltest du aber detaillierte Angaben zu deinem Monitor wissen (VSync-Rate u.ä.). Wichtig ist halt, dass du als Parameter für videogen zusätzlich '-nv' verwendest.

und ehm, gibts noch ne andere Möglichkeit? Denn die ganzen Daten weiß ich nicht. Und jetzt kommt der Hammer: Ich weiß nicht mal den Hersteller. Ich hab mein Flachbildschirm vor 2 Jahren gekauft. Und ich habe schon mehrmals in der Bedienungsanleitung und auf der Packung gesucht, kein Hersteller.

Also, gibts vllt. nen diagnosetool, welches die ganzen Daten ermittelt?

edit: achso, is mir gerad noch aufgefallen, dass in der saxkonfiguration 17 zoll monitor steht. Es ist aber definitiv ein 19 zoll monitor. vllt. liegt ja da auch das prob

Dann stelle im SaX halt die Monitor-Grösse korrekt ein.
