Firebird - db auf Linux

Hallo Leute also ich opensuse 10.0 OS
ich habe mir Firebird installiert und Alle dateien Verlink
eine habe ich paar Fragen?

start der dienst automatisch, wenn nein wie mache ich es dann?

Uralt der Thread aber besser als einen neuen zu öffnen und der ist ja so schön leer ;)

Nein er startet nicht automatisch du musst einen sogenannten cronjob einrichten...

SO nun zu meinem anliegen ich möchte nämlich nun auch umsteigen zu Firebird, habe aber schon bei der Installation probleme kann mir evtl. jemand helfen???
