X-Start langsam

Hi Leuts,

hab folgendes Problem. Mein x start dauert einfach zu lange. ueber 1min. hab das gefuehl dem ist erst so seit ich nen tft habe. auch der debian update auf xorg hat daran nix geändert.
In meiner log datei werden unzählige modes getestet. hab die vermutung das dat die zeit raubt ..

hat jemand ahnung wie ich das abstelle? interessant ist au noch das kde nur folgende bildschirmgroessen verwenden kann: 1280x1024, 640x480, 1280x960, 640x512

xorg.conf sagt aber:

als root (also su ....)
fc-cache
Das wirkt manchmal Wunder

Bei dir auch?
Schaden tut es jedenfalls nicht.

PS Ach ja, die von dir genannten Meldungen sind keine Fehlermeldungen, sondern nur Infos!

ja danke fuer den tipp. hat funktioniert. anscheinend warns die fonts, oder was genau macht fc-cache?

fc-cache, fonts.cache - create an index of FreeType font
files in a directory

SYNOPSIS
fc-cache [directory-name ... ]

DESCRIPTION
If directory arguments are not given, fc-cache uses each
directory in the current font configuration. Each direc*
tory is scanned for font files readable by FreeType. A
cache is created which contains properties of each font
and the associated filename. This cache is used to speed
application startup when using the fontconfig library.

FILES
fonts.cache Maps file names to font properties. Read
by the fontconfig library at application
startup to locate appropriate fonts.

gut die man page hab ich mir au durchgelesen. dass aber ein index file meinen x-start um uber 1min verkuerzt ist krass. ....
