Ubuntu bootet nicht!

Hallo,

ich habe versucht Ubuntu neben Xp x64 zu installieren, habe mir die 6.06 amd64 version auf eine CD gebrannt.
Wenn die Live-Cd startet kan ich auch wunderbar installieren. ich mache aus allocated ca. 40GB,( der rest 170Gb ist für Windows Daten)
zwei Partitionen ein root 38GB und eine swap 2 Gb.

Dann installiert der Installer danach muss ich retsraten( ich weiß nicht ob das wichtig ist, aber bei restarten zeigt er bei allem .....ok an,
außer bei RAid-irgendwas.
Dann hole ich die Cd raus, er rebootet und ich sehe grub mit:
amd-64 ubuntu starten
das selbe asl recovery
memtest
xp x64

Wenn ich jetzt ubuntu booten will, hängt er sich direkt am anfang bei
mounting root file system auf- bzw. bei
waiting for root file system
dann dauert es lange und dann sehe ich textbasiert folgendes:

das ist hoffnungslos überdimensioniert.

wie ist die Kiste partitioniert. hdc3 also die 3. primäre Partition am primären 2. IDE-Controller gibts nicht bzw nicht lesbar ist

ISt ja eigentlich egal ob sie überdimensioniert ist. ich bin jetzt schon ein bisschen weiter-es könnte ein acpi problem sein, aber selbst die befehle noapic, nolapic und acpi=off verändern nichts!
