The Product / Service
The company is experience rapid growth and are pioneering applications for mobile devices and also on PDA’s and PND’s (Personal Navigation Devices i.e. Sat Nav). smart2go™ is a client side global map & search application for GPS-equipped mobile handsets. With smart2go™, users can explore the world, showing your current position and the most interesting points of interest nearby. The solution can also be extended with additional content plug-ins such as restaurant guides or events calendars, as well as up-to-date services such as weather and hotspot information. Users can also use full navigation including turn-by-turn voice commands.

The Role
We require a software engineer to help manage the map servers and ensure that they are available 24x7 and perform maintenance, upgrades and performance assurance.

Requirements
Bachelors in Computer Science/ Engineering
1-3 experience in managing high availability systems
Familiarity with Linux/Unix
Experience with Perl, shell scripts etc
