Prozesse Killen

Habe einen Ahtlon 3700 Root Server mit 2 GB Ram und Debian 64 Bit System am laufen. Habe da drauf einen 32 Slot CSDM C1 1.6 Server und einen 20 Slot SuperHero cs 1.6 Server drauf.

Welche Prozesse darf ich da killen um mehr leistung zu bekommen ?

Wäre nett wen mir da einer helfen würde

1. Wenn kein ssh nötig ist, dann dies deaktivieren
2. Wenn xfs und jfs (hängt vom verwendeten Filesystem ab) nicht verwendet werden, dann dies auch.

SSH wird ja nicht immer benötig aber kan eigendlich aus.

Wie deakteviere ich SSH und die anderen sachen die du da geschrieben hast ?

Nach /etc/init.d wechseln.
Dort dann in den Unterordnern (=Runleveln) nach den verwendeten Prozessen suchen und den entsprechenden Link SXXXX (SXXXX= Prozess starten, KXXX=Prozess beenden) entfernen.

Der Apache kann auch runter. Ich bezweifle aber, dass Du beim Ausschalten dieser Dienste einen merkbaren Geschwindigkeitsgewinn erzielst.

Hm, auf nem Server ssh zu deaktivieren finde ich sinnlos.
Ich will doch ned bei jedem Problem den Monitor anmachen um zu sehen was schon wieder los ist.

Warum eigentlich Software deaktivieren? Wenn du was nicht brauchst dann runter damit, das hat dann so oder so nichts verloren.

Ps wenn du nicht gerade einen Orcale am laufen hast und den ausknipst wirst du wohl kaum merklich deine Leistung vebessern können indem du "Minidienste" die keine Last produzieren deaktivierst.

Wenn du deine Performance verbessern willst dann lager den Mailserver mit der Datenbank und dem Webserver auf einen anderen Server aus.

Zumindest wird deine Leistung dann ein wenig, vermutlich aber nur wenig besser dafür aber Konstant auf einem Level.

Ich denke mal dass du immer wieder kleinere Lags auf dem Server hast, kann dass sein?
