Problem mit KDE und Gnome nach freezen des Pcs

Hm bin mir nicht ganz sicher, ob ich hier richtig bin.
Hab nach meinem Problem auch schon gegoogelt, aber wohl zu unpassend oder auch ungenau.

Also ich hab hier einen Pc Opensuse 10.1, das ich standardmäßig mit KDE installiert habe.
Ich sollte den PC jedoch mit Gnome benutzen, weshalb ich es nachinstallierte und dieses im Sitzungsbildschirm dann auch geladen habe. Hat dann auch wunderbar funktioniert.

Problem ist, dass ein kleiner Lüfter im PC kaputt ist und der PC dadurch ganz selten mal freezed. (Ich sollte einen neuen kriegen...)

Aber jedes Mal wenn der PC gefreezed war und ich dann neu starte, komme ich nur noch per Konsole in mein Benutzerkonto, gebe ich dann startx ein, versucht er KDE zu laden, obwohl ich vorher Gnome hatte.

Er sagt mir dann auch, dass er auf einen Ordner in meinem Homeverzeichnis keinen Zugriff hat und dass dcop gestartet werden sollte usw.

Mir ist leider nicht wirklich klar, wo das Problem liegt, ich denke, ich muss irgendwo was umstellen, aber wo und wie? Oder eher: Was mache ich falsch?

Ohne genaue Fehlermeldung kann dir so keiner helfen.
 
Also wenn ich mich grafisch einloggen will, also ganz normal über den Sitzungsmanager, dann loggt er sich ein, ich bekomm nen schwarzen Bildschirm und bin wieder beim Anmeldebildschirm.

Nehme ich dann den Textkonsolen-Modus, kann ich mich einloggen, benutze ich dann jedoch startx, startet er nicht Gnome wies eigentlich sein sollte; sondern KDE und spuckt der Reihe nach diese Meldungen aus (für Kde)

o_O also wirklich viel kann ich damit gerade auch nicht anfangen, außer dir den tipp zu geben das gehäuse erstmal aufzulassen, staubt zwar alles bissel schneller ein aber dann solltest du zumindest keine hitzeprobleme mehr bekommen und schau mal in der /etc/rc.conf nach was da unter XSESSION= steht.

ansonsten kann ich mich meinem vorschreiber nur anschließen.

Das Gehäuse ist offen... schon ne ganze weile, auch damit ich ab und an reinschauen kann, ob der lüfter noch läuft, wenn nicht, darf ich ihn manuell anstupsen ^^

Und ich hab gerade nachgesehen, ich hab dort in /etc/ keine rc.conf ? Oo

Das einzige wo ich dateien habe, wo das drinsteht sind da:

Welchen Login-Manager nutzt du? GDM oder KDM?

Es tut wieder, es tut wieder, ich bin wieder als Betawoelfin drin! =D

Hab einfach die display-manager-datei bearbeitet,
dann restartet,
dann hat er den kanal geändert auf :1 oder so ähnlich, weil der andere belegt war ( war zu schnell weg die meldung)
und hab dann versucht mich als Betawoelfin einzuloggen und schwupps bin ich drin :D

Wie gravierend ist es denn, dass er channel :0 nach dem Neustart des xdm belegt war und er den :1 genommen hat?
 
Ehrlich gesagt: ich habe nicht den geringsten Plan. :) - dem Gefühl nach würde ich aber mal die sowohl die KDE- als auch GNOME-Pakete (insbesondere die Basispakete) neu installieren. Klingt vielleicht etwas vage, aber für mich hört sich das alles irgendwie nicht nach falschen config-Dateien oder dergleichen an, sondern nach wie auch immer vermurksten Paketen - schaden kann es jedenfalls nicht.
