openSuse 10.2 pccard wlan kein link

hallo,
nach ca 4 jahren linux abstinenz probiere ich es wieder einmal!

installation ging flott und alles scheint bis jetzt prima zu funktionieren.

nun leider kriege ich das WLAN nicht hin! ethernet eth0 hingegen funktioniert und bekommt eine IP zugewiesen.

habe gegoogelt, viel gefunden und auch ausprobiert. aber ich stehe nun wie der esel am berg und komme nicht mehr weiter.

beide pccards werden erkannt und alles scheint soweit OK, ausser das sie via dhcp keine adresse bekommt.

ich denke dhcp kann erst funtionieren wenn es überhaupt einen link gibt.

leider habe ich auch keinen erfolg wenn ich das WLAN offen betreibe und statische IP und GW zuweise.

ping an eigene IP ist OK, aber default GW nicht!
