lotus notes unter debian?

kann man Lotus notes 6.5.2. auf debian (kde) laufen lassen?
Angeblich geht das mit einem Windowsemulator.

Die Meldung hatte ich auch schon gefunden.
Aber nur weil 2004 mal gemeldet wurde das das auf Linux läuft heisst das noch lange nicht das es unter der aktuelle debian Version auf dem KDE startbar ist. Deswegen habe ich ja nochmal explizit nachgefragt.

also bei mir funktionierte Notes Client und Designer in Verbindung mit Crossover wirklich sehr gut, sowohl unter OpenSuse 10.1 als auch unter Slackware 10.2.

Ok, dann hab ich folgendes für euch:

The MSI installer is not supported under Wine so you have to install on Windows and copy the files over. Instructions by Peter Leugner of AS Computer:

1. Install the latest wine from www.winehq.com (or emerge wine, apt-get wine or whatever).
2. Install Notes 6.51 under Windows.
3. Copy the Lotus/Notes directory to ~/.wine/fake_windows/program files/lotus/notes.
4. Copy mfc42.dll and msvcp60.dll from Windows to ~/.wine/fake_windows/windows/system
5. type
wine "c:\program files\lotus\notes\nlnotes.exe"

This skunkworks development was done so that IBM can run Notes internally on Linux. Currently it is completely unsupported. If you break it, you own all the parts.

With wine-0.9.8, install only works with WINEDLLOVERRIDES="msi,msiexec.exe=n" (The MSI Installer is shipped with Notes) winecfg overrides for nlnotes.exe: Windows Version Win98 mfc42,mfc42u,msvcp60,netapi32,usp10=n

Ob das nun alles passt was ihr braucht, java scheint ja leicht probleme zu machen, weiss ich nun nicht

Welche Alternativen gibt es den?

Jede beliebige Groupware-Suite, die einigermassen ausgereift ist. Angefangen von StarOffice (mit Anbindung an Adabas) ueber webbasierte Loesungen wie eGroupware, Horde-Groupware bis hin zu sYnergy Groupware. Lotus Notes ist schliesslich auch nur eine Groupware.

Untereinander kompatible? Ich bezweifle das mal. Meistens kann man sich den Groupware-Server nicht aussuchen ...
