    moin, auf dem rechner einer bekannten habe ich kubuntu 6.10 installiert. lief die letzten monate ohne probleme, bis ich vor ein paar tagen eine ladung empfohlener updates installieren liesz. jetzt erscheint beim booten brav und anstandslos der kdm, aber wenn ich mich anmelden will, wird lediglich der x-server neu gestartet. dann erscheint der anmeldebildschirm wieder.

    textanmeldung funktioniert ohne probleme. also habe ich mir mal im xorg-log die meldungen angeguckt. da springen mir zwei (die ich jetzt leider nur sinngemaesz wiedergeben kann) ins auge:

    (EE) dri not loaded
    (EE) wacom <blablubbgeraet> not found

    ich habe dann mit dpkg-reconfigure x neu eingerichtet und dri aus der configuration geworfen. diese felhermeldung kommt jetzt nicht mehr. was es allerdings mit den wacom-geraeten auf sich hat (die stellen zeichentablets und so her, sowas hat die betroffene aber nicht in ihrem besitz oder jemals an den rechner angeschlossen) weisz ich leider nicht.

    das ist alles total aergerlich, denn es scheint nur ein kleineres furzproblem zu sein.

    so nun, weisz jemand rat? das waer total knorke.

    mhh....bin grad unter Win(CoD spielen ;) ) und kann darum nicht checken ob das stimmt was ich jetzt sag...nämlich:
    diese wacom Dinger sind doch (auch) in der xorg.conf.....konnte man bei mir ohne Probleme auskommentieren(hat ein paar Errors abgeschafft ;) )...vll. behebt das ja das Problem...

    Eigentlich wären ca. die letzen 10 Zeilen der Error Datei des Xservers interessant.

    Hatte mit Ubuntu letztens auch Probleme nach einem Update. Weiß auch net, was die gerade so treiben! Jedenfalls sind die wacom-Meldungen zu vernachlässigen. Das sind nur Warnungen. Das funktioniert trotzdem alles! Lad mal die komplette Xorg.log hoch. Bei mir lag es damals am Maustreiber. Scheiß Ding! ;)

    erst mal kurz vorstellen da ich neu hier im Forum bin.

    @posiputt,
    hat der Rechner eine NVIDIA-GraKa?

    Bei meiner Ubuntu Erstinstallation hatte ich den Treiber von der NVIDIA-Seite händisch installiert, er wurde beim nächsten Update einfach überschrieben.
    Eine erneute installation per Hand und alles lief wieder wunderbar.

    Inzwischen habe ich das OS komplett neu installiert und verwende die angebotenen Treiber aus der Distri.

    Vielleicht hilft es Dir ja. :)

    rolli: ne, onboard-grafik von sis. ich hab ueberhaupt nichts auszerhalb der default-repositories installiert. da scheint einfach was mit dem update des x.org dumm gelaufen zu sein.
