KDE startet nicht nach Grafikkarten tausch

Hallo Leute,
ich habe jetzt 3 Abende vor meinem Linux Rechner verbracht um ihn wieder ans laufen zu bekommen, leider vergeblich, nun hoffe ich ihr könnt mir weiter helfen. :hilfe2:

Infos:
Grafikkarte vorher: ATi Radeon 9600XT
Grafikkarte nachher: nvidia GeForce 6200
OS: Open SuSE 10.2 mit KDE

Zur vorgeschichte:
Ich habe mir eine neue Grafikkarte gegönnt, da auf meiner alten Karte der Lüfter defekt war. Ich habe die Karten getauscht ohne vorher etwas am System zu verändern. Mein Standard Runlevel ist 5. Nach dem tausch der Grafikkarte lief der Rechner problemlos hoch. Ich habe mir dann mit einer Anleitung von Google über Yast die Nvidia Karte installiert. Nach einem Reboot startete dann der Rechner nicht mehr ins KDE, der Bildschirm flakerte zwar kurz auf, ich war dann aber sofort wieder in der Konsole, nur der Mauszeiger war noch vom KDE übrig und auf der Konsole zu sehen. Beim Status stand auch "Runlevel 5 has been reached", aber ich kam nicht auf die Grafische Oberfläche. Als ich sax2 gestartet habe bekam ich allerdings sofort ein Bild und konnte sehen das die Grafikkarte auch erkannt wurde. Sobald ich allerdings startx kde eingegeben habe bekam ich eine Fehlermeldung das kein Monitor erkannt wurde.

Folgendes habe ich gemacht:
- Als erstes habe ich über Yast alles gelöscht was mit fglrx oder Ati zu tun hatte,
- dann habe ich Sax2 neu konfiguriert,
- ich habe eine automatische reparatur von der suse DVD drüber laufen lassen (welche auch Fehler gefunden und behoben hat),
- ich habe die Nvidiakarte neu installiert,

Der aktuelle Stand:
Nach dem ich diese ganzen Schritte durch hatte, kann ich nun über startx kde wieder auf die Grafischeoberfläche, allerdings startet die nicht automatisch. Wenn ich den Rechner reboote kommt wieder die Meldung "Runlevel 5 has been reached" aber ich bin immer noch auf der Konsole unter tty1, allerdings diesmal ohne das der Monitor aufflakert und nur noch die Maus zu sehen ist. Ein weiterer Fehler ist wen ich zwischen den Konsolen umschalten will komme ich nur auf tty1 und tty5, alles was dazwischen ist reagiert nicht.

Ich hoffe jemand von euch kann mir weiter helfen, ich bin mittlerweile mit meinen Latein am Ende und weiß auch nicht mehr was ich noch bei google eingeben soll. ;) :hilfe2:

Achso, ich sollte noch dazu sagen, alles was ich getan habe habe ich mit Anleitungen aus div. Boards, etc. gemacht. Ich kenne mich noch nicht so gut mit Linux aus, bin noch eher ein Neuling, aber ich will das System gerne ohne es neu zu installieren wieder zum laufen bekommen, da ich ja alles lernen will. :)

Du hast höchstens den Treiber neu installiert.

kann ich nun über startx kde wieder auf die Grafischeoberfläche, allerdings startet die nicht automatisch.
Ich glaub, unter SuSE ist er default runelevel 5.

macht irgendwie mehr Sinn.
 
@snap kein problem. es gibt in yast (nicht yast2) welches du von der konsole starten kannst, ein kleines tool unter systemmangement --> systemeinstellungen. hier kannst du auch den graphischen anmeldbirschirm einstellen, den du verwenden willst.

das ist es doch was du meintest oder?
 
Du solltest versuchen, den Treiber ohne YAST zu installieren. Das hat vor kurzem auch bei mir zu lustigen Problemen geführt. Seither installiere ich wichtige Dinge lieber so, wie man es "früher" und ohne YAST machte.

sh /Pfad/zum/Treiber/NVIDIA-Version.run -q
sax2 -r -m 0=nvidia
init 5

Bei mir läuft die Karte (5200) volles Rohr ! ;)

Da Du noch keine Prügel bezogen hast, bekommst Du jetzt welche:
OpenSuse ist ein anständiges OS. Es zickt auch nicht rum.
Na ja, wenigstens hast Du damals nicht gleich ganz "Linux" in die Tonne getreten und hast ja auch in Debian ein System nach Deinen Ansprüchen gefunden, ist ja auch nichts gegen einzuwenden.
Aber ich musste meine Echse verteidigen :devil: .
 
...und so verneige ich mein Haupt und stimme dir zu... Ich mag die SuSE ebenfalls und manchmal darf sie sogar mit in mein Bett ! ;)

Hmm, ich habe mich sehr lange umgehört bevor ich mich für OpenSuse entschieden habe, die Meinungen teilen sich da ja total, viele sagen SuSe ist totaler mist, können aber keine genauen Gründe nennen, empfehlen dann aber meistens Fedora. Die Anderen sagen das gerade SuSE für den Anfänger gut sei. Aber der Hauptgrund warum ich mich für Suse entschieden habe ist eigentlich das man für Suse den meisten Support in Foren bekommt, also wenn man nach Suse googelt bekommt man viel mehr Infos als bei allen anderen, finde ich.

Der ist ja eingestellt, das Problem ist das er nicht von alleine startet.

Das habe ich auch schon probiert, mit dem gleichen Fehler.
Habe mittlerweile die Treiber schon 4 mal drüber installiert.




Ich habe aber gerade bemerkt das folgendes in /var/log/boot.msg steht:
Master Resource Control: runlevel 5 has been reached

Was hat denn dieses killproc zu bedeuten?

Weil SuSE nicht nur kommerziell geworden ist, sondern immer schon war. Das widerspricht der Linux-Philosophie im Allgemeinen. (Stichwort GNU). Die Tatsache, dass Novell mit MS ins Bett geht, erhärtet den Tatbestand! Es geht nicht unbedingt um die Distri. Das muss jeder für sich selbst ausmachen, was er am besten findet.
Aber meine Meinung ist:
Wer SuSE nutzt, kann auch gleich bei Windows bleiben. SuSE versucht, ein Linux-System Windows-ähnlich zu machen, was aber schwachsinn ist: Linux != Windows
Novell versucht, Windows-user auf die Linux-schiene zu bringen. -vergeblich.

Ich weiß ja nicht welche Kriterien für Dich ein Betriebssytem beschreiben, aber der obrige Satz ist wohl Schwachsinn, außerdem gibt es User die nicht Ihr BS studieren, sondern einfach benutzen wollen und wenn Suse darauf eingeht ist das wohl nicht ein "kopieren" von Windows, sondern ein entgegen kommen auf Kundenwünsche.

Es geht bei freier Software nicht um das Thema "Umsonst". Auch Debian bietet einen bezahlten Support an, und man kann Debian auch kaufen.
Es geht darum, dass Novell die gleiche Schiene fährt, wie MS. Sie wollen Linux für so viele user wie möglich nutzbar machen. Mit so schwachsinnigen tools wie YAST. Aber Linux ist halt nix für Leute, die ihr OS einfach nur nutzen wollen.(und das soll imo auch so bleiben)
Was daraus resultiert, sieht man ja an den Threads hier:
Wieviele Anfängerprobleme gibts im SuSE Forum, und wieviele im Debian/Ubuntu Forum?

außerdem gibt es User die nicht Ihr BS studieren, sondern einfach benutzen wollen und wenn Suse darauf eingeht ist das wohl nicht ein "kopieren" von Windows, sondern ein entgegen kommen auf Kundenwünsche.

Es geht hier auch nicht um Offenheit, sondern darum dass du hier im SUSE-Forum bist, wo Fragen zu Suse an richtiger Stelle sind.

Du musst nicht im Forum lesen.
Ich habe auch Foren, die ich so gut wie nie lese.

Du kannst eine Meinung dazu haben, aber bitte äußere die nur da, wo sie auch hinpasst bzw. gefragt ist.

Mir gefällt SuSE bis jetzt eigentlich ganz gut. Und ich finde es auch gut das Novell eine Alternative zu Windows schaffen will, was ist daran falsch sein Produkt bekannt zu machen? Selbst wenn Suse Windows ähnlicher wird (von der Oberfläche) bleibt es immernoch ein anderes Betriebssystem. Und wenn man sich die Kosten für ein Vista mal ansieht, da freut sich doch jeder wenn es noch eine Alternative gibt.
Aber ich benutze ja nicht nur Suse, ich habe ja auch noch Ubuntu. Mir gehts ja eigentlich auch nur darum die Linuxwelt kennen zu lernen. Und da viele unserer Kunden SuSE auf ihren Servern haben, wollte ich das nicht auslassen.

Sorry, wie gesagt ich bin noch Anfänger und weiß nicht genau welche logs man zur Fehlersuche braucht. Aber mit dem Fehler hier meinte ich einfach das er immer noch nicht automatisch ins KDE startet.

In der kdm.log stehen sehr viele Fehler habe ich gerade gesehen.

Hab die kdm.log mal geleert und es ist nichts neues dazu gekommen, also scheint das ne alte log Datei gewesen zu sein.
