Gelber Monitor mit schwarzem streifen nach Nvidia Treiberinstalation

    Hallo,

    Ich habe mit meinem Dell XPS M1530 folgendes Problem.
    Nach der instalation des Nvidiatreibers (alle abhängigkeiten aufgelöst) erhalte ich im Xserver nur noch ein Helles Fenster mit einem Schwarzen streifen in der Mitte.
    Nun habe ich den Treiber in der Xorg.conf. wieder auf "nv" gestellt, hätte jedoch gerne wieder die 3D Unterstützung. Grafikkarte ist eine Geforece 8600M GT mit 256mb DDR3 Ram,
    Display (an dem es, wie ich vermute, liegt) weis ich nicht (wo kann ich das auslesen).

    Hi,

    genau kann ich auch nicht sagen, was da los ist. Ich kann nur vermuten, dass die Grafikkarte nicht das Problem ist, da ich ne GeForce 8600M GS mit nVidia-Treiber problemlos am Laufen hab.

    Welchen Treiber hast Du denn genau verwendet? Den von der nVidia Homepage? Wenn nicht, versuch den mal. Wie das geht dürfte Dir die Suche sagen - gibt's genügend Threads dazu.

    Habe den Default-Treiber von Nvidia mittels YAST verwendet.
    Vielen Dank für die Antwort, werde die Yast Version Löschen und es mit der von Nvidia versuchen.

    Ehm im Bios spinnt deine Nvvviiidia nicht oder ??? Weil wenn ja ist wahrscheinlich das Kabel kaputt.

    Nein.
    Mit dem Standart NV Treiber läuft sie ganz normal. Ich vermute eher, dass sich der Treiber mit dem Display nicht richtig verträgt. Habe jetzt alle möglichkeiten ausprobiert (YAST, Diese One-Click-Install und ./configure && make && make install), aber mit keiner funktioniert es. Wenn ich dann im Failsafe mode boote und mit VI den Treiber in der xorg.conf von NVIDIA auf NV umschalte, läuft alles wieder normal. Fände es nur toll, halt eben den originaltreiber zu verwenden, wenn ich DVD's abspielen will ruckeln die immer (Was bei einem C2D 2Ghz, 1GB Ram und ner 8600M GT nicht sein dürfte).
    Hat noch einer eine Idee?
    Ach ja, mir sind noch zwei Dinge aufgefallen:
    Die Farben ändern sich, nur der Schwarze Streifen bleibt.
    Der grüne Hintergrund beim Hochfahren wird normal dargestellt, auvh gibt es keine Fehlermeldungen. Aber sobald KDM gestartet werden soll kommt dieser Bildschirm und der Laptop hört auf zu arbeiten. Wenn ich nun meinen Benutzernamen, Tab, Kennwort und Enter drücke, dann fängt er wieder an zu arbeiten, zumindest für eine weile.

    öhm... was haste dir den da geladen?

    die nvidia treiber gibs als *sh, da reicht es die auszuführen.

    Richtig! Wie das geht, findet man entweder hier im Forum, oder im "Nvidia Installer HOWTO for SUSE".

    Vorher als user ausloggen, als root in der Konsole anmelden und init 3 ausführen.

    Danach ein init 5 um wieder in die grafische Oberfläche zu wechseln.

    Anschließend kannst Du mit dem nvidia-settings die Einstellungen ansehen und ändern. Wenn Du diese als root ausführst, kannst Du die Änderungen auch gleich in die xorg.conf übernehmen.

    Habe es versucht (.sh), aber erfolglos.
    nach init 5 kommt wieder dieser blöde Bildschirm mit dem schwarzen Streifen und den wechselnden Farben. Aber vielen Dank für die Idee.

    P.S.: Könnte es nicht auch an einer fehlerhaften Monitorkonfiguration liegen?

    Läuft denn die Installation des Treibers ohne Fehlermeldung durch? Meldungen bitte genau lesen!

    Kommt bei der Konfiguration mit sax2 das Testbild mit dem Speichern-Dialog?

    Irgendwo legt der Installer doch auch eine .log-Datei ab, die wäre eventuell interessant.

    Da der Monitor mit dem 'nv'-Treiber funktioniert, wird es vermutlich nicht an dessen Konfiguraton liegen.

    Die Frequenz ist bei beiden Treibern gleich.

    Habe eine Fehlermeldung entdeckt und diese fett Markiert.
    wenn ich im Runlevel 3 "sax2" starte, kommt der Bildschirm übrigens auch.
    Die Wiederholfrequenz ist die gleiche wie unter Win Biester.

    Habe mal ein foto gemacht und auf meinen Server geladen.

    Die Farben änderen sich, am Anfang ist es eine einzige, die verschwimmt dann aber und es gibt diese Streifen, die ihre Farben ändern. Nur der schwarze streifen, der bleibt konstant.
    Hat vielleicht noch jemand eine Idee?

    Ich hatte das Problem auch...hier meine Lösung:

    1. Windows hochfahren. (müsste auch mit PartBE gehen)

    2. Phoenix EDID (Tool) runterladen

    3. EDID aus der Registrierung lesen (Button)

    4. Exportieren (nicht speichern) und im "raw" Format ablegen. Irgendwohin...

    5. Linux hochfahren, Terminal aufmachen.

    6. Partition mounten wo das raw file liegt.

    7. Raw-file in die Linux partition kopieren. (Ich habs nach /etc/X11/ kopiert, dann liegt alles zusammen)

    8. In die xorg.conf in der "Device" Sektion folgende Zeile eintragen:

    Option "CustomEDID" "DFP-0:/mypath/file.raw"



    /mypath/file.raw muss natürlich entsprechend angepasst werden.

    9. X Neustarten CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE

    Dann sollte X mit dem nvidia Treiber starten.

    Anmerkung:

    Ich hatte zunächst noch folgendes Problem,
    nach dem einfügen der Zeile in die xorg.conf wollte X unbedingt auf 1024x768 laufen.

    Wenn das bei euch auch der Fall sein sollte, macht ihr folgendes:

    Phoenix EDID nochmal die Info aus der registry auslesen lassen, dann den butten "Edit" klicken....und überall wo 1024x768 steht, und es änderbar ist, 1280x800 eintragen. Also, je nachdem was für ein Dsiplay man hat. Dann wieder Exportieren usw.

    Und dann natürlich den Pfad in der xorg.conf nochmal entsprechend anpassen.

    Hoffe das hilft nochmal jemandem.

    Hallo,
    ich hatte oft ähnliche Probleme mit den Nvidiatreibern und irgendwelchen Funktionen die danach nicht liefen...
    bei mir blieb der Bildschirm meist shcwarz.
    Öhm ich nutz jetzt Ubuntu und weiß deswegen nicht mehr ob es den tiny-nvidia-installer bei Suse 10.3 noch gibt, wenn ja wär das mein Tip.
    Wenn nein lad dir mal den aktuellen Treiber wie erwähnt von der Nvidia Homepage runter, Notfalls auch mit lynx in der Konsole.
    Oder eben über Windows.
