debian etch +cups -> foomatic-rip failed

Kurze Problembeschreibung:
Drucker ist über localhost:631 (weboberfläche von cups) eingetragen.
Wenn ich auf "Testseite drucken" gehe, erscheint

/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip failed

es erfolgt keine Ausgabe der Testseite

Wenn ich alternativ den Drucker unter Kprinter hinzufüge passiert das gleiche, also er druckt nichts
installiert ist:
cups 1.2.2-2
foomatic-filters 3.0.2

/dev/lp0
crw-rw---- 1 root lp 6, 0 2006-09-02 14:46 /dev/lp0

und foomatic-rip:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 25 2006-09-02 14:56 /usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip -> ../../../bin/foomatic-rip

User ist in der Gruppe lp eingetragen

Weiß jemand eine Lösung oder gibts da nen Workaround?

Der Drucker ist übrigends aus ..schätzungsweise noch aus der Kreidezeit *g* 'nen Lexmark Z11

Guten Tag,
der Fehler ist wahrscheinlich darauf zurückzuführen, dass ein Filter nicht gefunden werden kann. Dazu solltest du das "foomatic-filters"-Paket installieren, dass geht so:

apt-get install foomatic-filters

hab die gleiche Fehlermeldung mit einem Lexmark z43 mit drv_z42 - vielleicht hilft das ja irgendwie weiter - ebenfalls mit foomatic-filters 3.0.2 unter ubuntu. bei auswahl des Gutenprint-Treibers zieht er einfach nur die Seite durch, druckt aber nichts.

Setz doch mal in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf den Loglevel auf debug und schau dann in /var/log/cups/errors.log nach, ob Du einen Hinweis findest. Die Datei wird schnell sehr lang, deswegen merk Dir am besten die Uhrzeit des letzten Eintrages, versuche, zu Drucken und suche dann nach jender Uhrzeit ab Dateiende.

hab das selbe problehm einfach mit dem hp laserjet 1018

seit ca. 3 tagen funktioniert mein drucker wieder :S
keine ahnung was da gelaufen ist das der wieder funktioniert

Hallo, hab den selben Fehler, mit einem Dymo Labelprinter auf dem ttyS0.
Foomatic-filters sind installiert.
Ich brauche OpenSuSE 10.2...
