Debian,der alte X-server, Kernel 2.6 und die verdammte GF 4 TI

Moin leute,

ich hab xfree86 in der Version 4.2.1 laufen, oder besser gesagt nicht laufen. Diese Version unterstützt meine GF 4 TI 4200 nicht und der Nvidia Treiber lässt sich auch nich kompilieren. Die Log sieht folgendermaßen aus:

Betreibe den Kernel 2.6 ...

Weiss jemand wie ich das lösen kann ?

Der Nvidia Installer kommt mit dem 2.6 Kernel nicht so ohne weiteres klar. Man konnte den mal patchen. Ich weiss nicht, ob das noch funktioniert.
vesa oder nen neueres Xfree von apt-get.org könnten funktionieren.

Ich habs gelöst. Den Nvidia Treiber hab ich zwar nicht zum laufen gebracht, aber xfree 4.3 läuft ohne Probleme
