meine windows partion startet nicht mehr
was kann man machen

Fehler der beim starten von windows partion kommt

Du hast einen Fehler in der /boot/grub/menu.lst. Dort müsste drin stehen.

Vorab erstmal ich bin ein Anfänger ^^ Also nicht gleich schlagen.
Kann ja Windows übers Bios booten indem ich von hdd0 auf hdd1 stelle aber was für einen sinn hat dann ein Bootloader ?

windows ist auf eigener festplatte linux hat eine swap partition und eine ext3 partition
kein raid
Bootmanager Grub
Suse 10.2

Habe eigentlich genau das gleiche Problem bei mir sagt er

Booting 'Windows'

Muss ich dort

Und wenn ja wie mache ich das wenn ich auf die Datei zugreifen will sagt er

Beim Laden von media:/hda2/boot/grub/menu.lst ist folgender Fehler aufgetreten:
/boot/grub/menu.lst kann nicht gelesen werden.

Wie gesagt Nooby der lernen möchte ^^

An beide Anfänger bitte ?


Wo liegt das Linux und wo das Win ?

bei Micky31 ist win ja wohl in eienr log Part ! (hd0,4), während es beim anderen Frager auf der 2. Platte liegt.

Im 2. Fall muß afaik der map befehl angewandt werden im ersten Fall läuft afaik nichts, wenn es keine primäre Partiton mit ntfs odr fat32 gibt.

Windows und Linux haben jeweils eine eigene Festplatte.
Das steht in der device.map
(hd1) /dev/hdb
(fd0) /dev/fd0
(hd0) /dev/hda

Linux ist hd0
Windows ist hd1

Die Linux Festplatte ist die erste Festplatte und als Master gejumpert die Windows Festplatte als zweite Festplatte und als Slave gejumpert.

Hoffe du kannst mit den Infos was anfangen.

PS: Bin wirklich heftigst Noob.

Wenn du mir sagst ich soll den map befehl anwenden dann brauch ich eine komplette Anleitung.

Hatte gehofft das openSuSE das richtig einträgt bei der Installation war aber anscheinend nicht der Fall...

So wie man an die menu.lst kommt weiß ich mittlerweile ^^

Die sieht bei mir so aus derzeit.

Für win sollte das so klappen

title win
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
chainloader (hd1,0)+1

Durch den map Befehl werden die Festplatten vertauscht aus hd1 wird hdo und somit c: für win.

Ansonsten sieh dir mal das Manual zu grub an, einfach mal googlen, da stehen allle Befehle drin.
