1. Bei der Xfce4-Taskbar kann man eine "Mailcheck"-Schaltfläche hinzufügen. Man kann der Schaltfäche ein Emailkommando zuweisen. Ich habe da "mutt" ausgewählt, dieses soll im Terminal gestartet werden. Wenn ich also auf die "Mailcheck"-Schaltfläche klicke öffnet sich mutt in Xterm. Ich möchte dies gerne ändern. Ich möchte, dass sich mutt zukünftig in gnome-terminal öffnet und nicht in Xterm. Wie mache ich das.

xorg != xfree86

The XOrg Foundation Open Source Public Implementation of X11 (the XOrg Server) is an open source X server. It is a fork of XFree86, owing to disagreement with that project's new license.

The XOrg Server is forked from XFree86 4.4 RC2, the last version with the old license. Many of the previous XFree86 developers have joined the project, which is expected to be run in a more open manner than XFree86. (See The Cathedral and the Bazaar.) The project is being hosted by freedesktop.org.

The XOrg Server has been adopted by Fedora Linux and Cygwin/X in place of XFree86.

Note that the XOrg Server is a separate code base from the reference implementation of X11R6.6, also maintained by X.Org.
